It was last night, around 3 a.m., Marvel released the second trailer for Thor Love & Thunder as planned, the release of which is still expected for July 13 in Spain, but July 8 in the United States (Spain will see a Marvel after the United States, it hadn't happened for years!). A second trailer which was particularly expected since Taika Waititi, the director teased it a lot, saying that it would be absolutely epic. And the bugger didn't lie to us. For nearly 2"20 min, the video connects almost everything we could expect from this 4th episode of Thor. We can indeed see the Guardians of the Galaxy (including Kraglin who has definitely taken the place of Yondu), Nathalie Portman as Mighty Thor and able to break down Mjöllnir in the middle of a fight, Valkyrie in her combat gear, and finally Christian Bale in the role of Gorr the God Butcher. The actor, accustomed to physical transformations, embodies one of the greatest villains from the universe of Thor, but his appearance in the film is debated. Indeed, Marvel has opted for a more human rendering, so that we can recognize the actor without a doubt and the latter gives the impression of being an MCU version of the White Lady than anything else. Let's hope that Bale's immense talent can alleviate this feeling of disappointment, or else a transformation into final form will be hidden from us... Answer on July 13th.
We also take this opportunity to present to you the latest poster of this Thor Love & Thunder, whose 80's inspirations are obviously obvious. From the choice of the main theme (Sweet Child O Mine from Guns'N Roses), to the look of the characters, passing by these posters which recall the film Musclor / The Masters of the Universe with Dolph Lundren or even Metal Hurlant. Taika Waititi is definitely a man of taste.
