Fans of the confusing Metroidvania La-Mulana 2 who thought they were done plunging into the depths of the ruins of Eg-Lana have a new challenge in store with the upcoming Tower of Oannes DLC.
Scheduled to release later this year, the Tower of Oannes DLC will pit players against an all-new series of combat challenges and puzzles to overcome that will give even those who have cleared the Temple of Hell a race for their silver.
Those ready for the trials to be faced in the Tour d'Oannes will need to complete the base game first to prepare for what's in store in the series' first DLC.
If you haven't dipped into the fascinating world of La-Mulana yet, the second game is a good place to start, and publisher Playism has put the game on sale until May 22. Be warned, though: La-Mulana 2 is not your typical Metroidvania.
La-Mulana titles have a strong focus on problem-solving and exploration, with games requiring a keen eye, patience, and a handy notebook to jot down notes. This is wrapped up in a nice set of pixel graphics, varied boss battles, and soundtracks that have nothing to do with being as good as they are.
