Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a platform fighter with many similarities to Super Smash Bros.' own Super Smash Bros. Nintendo's Ultimate. In this type of fighting game, players use a multitude of moves to fight other characters while going through a stage, but Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl differs from the competition because it has Rollback Netcode.
Rollback Netcode is a connection type often used in fighting games. This connection is critical in fighting games because players input commands and player interaction occurs within a small window of time. For movement, hit detection and smooth actions, this is key.

Super Smash Bros. uses a peer-to-peer connection which often causes lag in fighting games. This is one of the biggest complaints from the Smash community, so it's worth mentioning that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is about to launch with much more competent online play.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will launch on October 5, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. Although the title, unfortunately, will not feature cross-play at launch, players are hoping for the addition of this feature in the coming months.
