Flowers are an integral part of Grounded, you won't encounter them frequently in the game, but you will eventually need to locate them to use some of their petals. Petals are involved in an interesting crafting recipe, so be sure to pick up a few if you come across them.
To get flower petals in Grounded, you will need to find flowers. These are usually located on the banks of the pond or river that separates the yard you are used to and another yard. As far as I know, there's nothing really on the other side at the moment, so no need to swim much. The river is to the south, right next to the huge oak tree with red leaves. It stretches quite far across the map, so you should encounter it if you just head south.
The petals will drop from the flowers pretty much randomly, so you just need to pick them up. As far as I know, you can't trick them into falling by hitting the flowers with tools or your fists. So you just have to wait for them to drop off the factory.
Flower Petals are used in a variety of recipes like Ladybug Shin Guards, Ladybug Chest Plate, Decoy Arrow, Mint Mallet, and Decoy Trap. Decoy items are meant to attract bugs to them, so you can potentially use them to breed certain bugs if you can place them in an area that benefits you!
