Players can find guns in gun lockers inside police stations, gun shops, and sometimes on zombies in Project Zomboid. From time to time, guns will also randomly appear in cabinets, storage crates, cupboards, and dressers in the game.

To break through the locked doors of the police stations, you can find an armory door key on the zombie cops, or you can smash the door with an axe.
