With the new Fortnite Quest Week, we're tasked with opening three safes placed sporadically across the map. In the guide below, we cover where all safes can spawn.
Where to open safes in Fortnite
There are several locations for safes, but it's important to know that they don't appear every game. You need to open three safes to complete the quest, and they need to be opened by interacting with them. You can't break the floor under them and make it count in your quest.
The image below shows you the best places to find them in each town, but you may need to visit several buildings before you find one.
The map above shows the spawn areas of all safes. The easiest way to complete this quest is to stay on the west side of the island and search for safes at Sweaty Sands and Holly Hedges. Let's take a closer look at these two areas to see exactly where the spawn points are.

Between the two towns, there are a total of 11 spawn points for safes. Due to the scarcity of safes, you will likely need to complete this quest over multiple matches. If you're having trouble finding them, try these tips:
- Check the right places. Safes are usually found in prominent places in bedrooms and attics. In houses, they are very rarely found on the ground floor.
- Search the safes as soon as possible. Remember that other players will also open them to complete the quest. If you can't find them in the first two storm circles, there's a very low chance you'll find them during the game.
- Use your friends. If you have a microphone, communicate with your friends and teammates. Tell them you're looking for safes. If you're playing Squads, it's much easier to find them with four pairs of eyes instead of one.
