Wild Hearts: the Karakuri system explained in video, it's really stylish

Since its announcement at the end of September, Wild Hearts has been a game that has generated a lot of interest. For its universe already to begin with, with its Japanese decors, but also for its gameplay which is very close to a Monster Hunter. The game was also built to go hunting on the land of the Capcom series, which has become ultra popular, even outside the borders of Japan. The idea is therefore for Electronic Arts to have its own Monster Hunter and the American publisher has teamed up with the Omega Force studio to set up Wild Hearts. But the latter will not be content to copy what Capcom is already doing and intends to stand out. This is the case with a new feature, the Karakuri, which are structures that the hunter can invoke to help him kill the Kemono, these huge creatures that have been corrupted.

Sophisticated mechanisms designed from ancestral and forgotten technologies, the Karakuri have different characteristics. They can be offensive, they can be placed as traps or simply allow the hunter to protect himself from enemy attacks. There is therefore a certain strategy in using these Karakuri, since the player will have to scan the ground where to attract the Kemono to then kill them. Better still, by combining forces with other allied players who also have different Karakuri, it is possible to increase your chances of getting out alive. This is all the more justified since Wild Heart is cross-play compatible, which doubles the opportunity to find a friend with whom to start the adventure. Of course, the game will allow these attack and defense mechanisms to evolve over the course of the adventure and the resources gleaned here and there. Electronic Arts specifies that Wild Hearts will be dubbed in English, Japanese, French, Italian, German and Spanish and that its release is set for February 17, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
