Wreckreation: THQ Nordic wants its Forza X Trackmania, 1st trailer and game details

The THQ Nordic Showcase was generous with trailers and announcements and among all the games presented, a certain Wreckreation did not fail to attract the attention of racing game lovers. It must be said that the title borrows from well-known series, such as Trackmania, Hot Wheels or even Forza Horizon with a little hint of Burnout. Not surprising when you know that it is former Criterion who are in charge of the project, through their new studio: Three Fields Entertainment. The idea is to give power to the player, by offering him tools that will allow him to create and personalize his game in a large sandbox of 400 km² called the MixWorld. As the game's official website states, the player is considered the GameDJ, and can both create and control gameplay. The developers promise an easy-to-access interface to make creating a race or stunt event a snap and sharing is communicative. 



Wreckreation will be split into 7 different categories: Drift, Air, Near Miss, Oncoming, Stunt, Crash and Fastest Time. It will be possible to personalize your vehicle excessively, define the type of music or radio to listen to, with no less than 16 old-fashioned FM stations available, ranging from Disco to Gospel, via film music or the jazz. Talk Radio will be updated regularly and it will even be possible to launch your own playlist from your Premium Spotify account. Better, it is also specified that we can play with the time of day, the weather and even the traffic! Wreckreation is expected for 2023 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and Xbox One, and will be playable during gamescom in Cologne which will take place from August 24 to 28.
