With the release of Top Gun Maverick, collaborations and other partnerships with video games have been deployed. There was the DLC for Ace Combat 7 recently, and the one with Microsoft Flight Simulator of course, which both allow you to think of yourself as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, the character played by Tom Cruise aboard his F/A- 18th Super Hornets. But Microsoft has gone further with Paramount Pictures since we have just learned of the creation of an Xbox Series S collector console in the colors of the feature film. A custom machine that we see in the trailer dedicated to the Top Gun Maverick extension for Microsoft Flight Simulator and in which Monica Barbaro, the actress who plays Phoenix in the film, invites us to participate in the Top Gun Maverick x Microsoft Flight contest Simulator. The console looks quite nice, with Maverick's helmet that's been flanked on the machine's hood, playing off the pilot's helmet visor with the Xbox Series S vents. It's pretty clever. But what's even better is the controller which has been covered with the control panel of a fighter jet and gives it a devastating look.
No sale unfortunately, which will upset collectors, but it is possible to win the machine through this contest where we ask to create our own mission in the game using any device of the extension, save it and then share it on social media with the #TopGunMFSSweepstakes. Then it's luck that comes into play to be drawn and therefore leave with this Xbox Series S in the colors of Top Gun: Maverick, but also PC gaming, which is not customized with the film on the other hand.
