We know it since the end of June, XIII Remake will be entitled to a second chance since the game will be released on September 13 in a version reworked by the French Tower Five (Lornsword: Winter Chronicle), responsible for correcting all the errors made by PlayMagic, the studio behind the catastrophic remake released in 2000. What we didn't know, however, was that Microids was preparing a next gen version of its game, namely PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Sony Interactive Entertainment took advantage of the August 15 holiday in Spain to post a gameplay video on its YouTube channel and show us a little game sequence. So seen like that, it's hard to see the changes between the two versions, but Microids ensures that a lot of substantive work has been done by the new team. We know that the artistic direction has been changed, the AI of the enemies has been improved and the bugs have been fixed. But that's not all, it will also be a good time to integrate the multiplayer mode which was absent from the 2020 version. Players who bought the game 2 years ago will be able to benefit from this new version for free through an update and that's pretty cool. See you on September 13 for the final verdict.
