AEW Fight Forever: gameplay unveiled at the THQ Nordic Showcase, fun above all
A week, barely more, after its announcement, AEW Fight Forever made its big comeback during the THQ Nordic Showcase, just to show us a little what it really has in its belly. We were treated to a new trailer, this time presenting gameplay, but not only, since wrestler Britt Baker and sports commentator Tony Schiavone are also there to provide the show. Small staging where we see them playing on the console in an Xbox Series X | S version and commenting on what is happening on the screen. We remind you that this AEW Fight Forever is unique in that it was developed by the Japanese studio Yuke's Co, the former developers of Smackdown vs Raw and WWE 2K before they were thanked by 2K Games. It is therefore a revenge that they have to take, especially since to stand out from the main competitor, the idea is to have a more fun and more arcade approach to wrestling. It is specified that unlike a WWE 2K, the grip will be simple, that the intuitive controls, which should allow everyone to have fun with the game, and not only insiders of the wrestling world. Basically, it may well be that THQ Nordic has found the perfect opposite in WWE 2K, a license that has lost a lot and tired players for a few years. If AEW Fight Forever does not have a release date yet, it will be playable at gamescom in Cologne from August 24 to 28.
