After blowing the wind with fans at the Inside Xbox last May, Ubisoft drew this time from the gameplay of Assassin's Creed Valhalla during its Forward this evening. The opportunity for the developers of Ubisoft Montreal to discuss the main elements of the game, starting with the story that will take place during the Viking era. We will embody Eivor (who can be a male or female character) to experience the arrival of Nordic warriors on British lands. The combat system is announced as more visceral than the two previous episodes, in particular not that the hero / heroine will be able to wield two weapons at the same time, and will be able to execute finish moves.
Good, because we are promised a wide variety of enemies for this episode, from the classic guard to the big brutes, passing by the legendary animals. On the infiltration side, the ability to hide among people is back, which should please purists. As for exploration, it will be important not only to feed yourself, but also to get your hands on a whole heap of treasures that will abound in the game. We are also entitled to a focus on raids and assaults, two of the main new features from Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Finally, this video touches slightly on the camp that we will have to develop, and where Eivor can develop his plans.
It's now official: the game will be released on November 17 on PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Stadia and PS4, and on an as yet unknown date on Xbox Series X and PS5. Note that those who purchase the title on current machines will not need to pay an extra penny to enjoy it on next-gen consoles.
