Avatar: the film comes out today in a remastered 4K HDR version, a film that has not moved?

With the release of Avatar 2: The Waterway on December 14, 20th Century Fox and Disney are preparing for the arrival of James Cameron's new film. As everyone noticed, the film was removed from the Disney+ catalog a few weeks ago to allow the film to have a new life in theaters. Indeed, from today, this Wednesday, September 21, 2022, it is possible to go to any cinema complex to see or see again this classic of genre cinema (and the biggest success at the world box office) in a remastered version in 4K and in an HDR calibration which should be quite a game-changer. Of course, the film will be available in 2D as well as 3D, depending on whether your cinema will be compatible with the format. A new trailer dedicated to this cinema release was shared a few weeks ago.

We take this opportunity to let you know that last week, we had the great pleasure of being able to discover 20 minutes of the film (divided into 6 extracts) from Avatar 2, in the company of its producer Jon Landau, who was passing through Paris. The opportunity to share some impressions with you, without spoiling the content, since we are subject to an embargo. We also refer you to our recent papers for the written impressions authorized at this stage. Otherwise, there is the TikTok video just below.
