The modding community around Code Vein has all brought many changes and additions to Soulslike. Between various skins, models, and gameplay changes, there are plenty of mods to choose from. But what are the best mods for Code Vein?
UE4 Reshade – True HDR
Code Vein's graphics are already stunning, and there are a number of mods that improve them even further. One of the best is the UE4 Reshade created by Vanguard1776 which mimics HDR without the need for an HDR monitor. The mod uses a number of effects to achieve this and changes many existing graphics options and adds color and depth to the game. Everything is customizable and can be turned on or off while playing. The creator has done this for several other games, including Final Fantasy VII: REMAKE, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Outer Worlds.
Invisible masks
renpyon's Invisible Mask mod adds the ability to toggle the display of masks, frames, and veils in-game. It's also fully customizable, meaning options for effects to only affect the player or NPCs are available. The options also work the other way around and can make masks reappear during stabs or even make them only reappear during animation. It's perfect for players who have spent a lot of time creating characters or like to take screenshots.

Custom weapon trails
Code Vein's blood trails while attacking and performing melee abilities fit the overall theme of the game, but renpyon decided to make it even sleeker. The Custom Weapon Trails mod modifies these trails with several different options. It can range from an icy effect to the neon glow of an almost lightsaber. These packs can also be interchanged and applied to companion swings.
Boss Rush Mod
An entire arena has been designed to host a boss rush mode in SkacikPL's Boss Rush Arena mod. There are collectible trophies, 17 bosses, and a leaderboard all included in the Boss Rush Arena mod. In the arena itself, players fight boss after boss completely solo. The mod is not for players who are not looking for a challenge, as playing the game solo drastically changes the difficulty of the game.
Party And Enemy Randomizer
Party Randomizer 2 is actually the merging of Party Randomizer mod and Enemy Randomizer mod from Clanzion. This allows players to completely randomize their experience with in-game mobs, companions, and even bosses. In the mod's custom menu, players can switch between different settings so the game doesn't feel too difficult.
