Best Druid Builds in Diablo II Risen

Over 20 years after its initial release, Diablo II has made a comeback. This has, of course, led to an influx of players interested in rekindling their love for finding the best synergies and techniques to do in their quest to defeat Baal, Mephisto, and Diablo himself. In the list below, we cover some of the best builds for druids, one of the most underrated classes in the game.

Best Druid Builds

The Druid class primarily focuses on the power of natural forces to command the terrain. Like the Necromancer, they can summon creatures to do their dirty work, but they can also work with decent melee or passive magic styles. The Druid tries to be the best of the three worlds: Necromancer, Barbarian and Sorceress. For this reason, we try to highlight the best builds for multiple playstyles, so you can find one that suits your needs.

Equipment

One important thing to note about gear is that choosing the right kind almost always comes down to the player's methods, rather than the build itself. Since loot is randomly generated as you kill enemies, it's always best to equip the gear that best suits your needs, rather than hunting for specific items. However, we've listed the items below that work best for the Druid class as a whole. If different gear is recommended for a specific build, it will be mentioned in the additional notes for that build.

  • Helmet: Jalal's Mane
  • Armor: Chains of Honor
  • Gloves: Claws of Trang-Oul
  • Belt: Arachnid Mail or Verdungo Nourishing Cord
  • Boots: Gore Riders
  • Weapon: Breath of the Dying or Call to Arms
  • Shield: Stormshield
  • Amulet: Mara's Kaleidoscope
  • Rings: Raven Frost, Alliance of Bul-Kathos or Stone of Jordan

    • Your mercenary of choice will be Iron Wolf with cold spells to counter fire resistant mobs.

Werewolf of Rage

The Rabies Werewolf builds primarily to deal massive amounts of damage to multiple enemies over time. Players running this build will want to avoid staying too long in the middle of combat. It's an effective build for dealing with large groups of enemies and proves to be one of the most useful builds if you're playing with friends.

Ours Maul

If you want an easy (but effective!) build that deals heavy melee damage and encourages you to fight with reckless abandon, Maul Bear is for you. While this usually requires distracting a group at a higher difficulty to stay alive, this build can carry you solo for a significant portion of the game and doesn't require much skill or focus.

  • Skill points
    • Maul : 20
    • Werebear: 20
    • Lycanthropy: 20
    • Wolverine's Heart: 20
  • Stat Points
    • Strength: Enough to carry desired items.
    • Dexterity: Enough to carry desired items.
    • Energy: None.
    • Vitality: Deposit nearly all of your stat points into Vitality.
  • Notes added
    • This build is also somewhat versatile as it has spare points that you can do as you please. It is recommended to put the remaining points in the prerequisites and only one additional skill like Rage or Fury.

wind druid

The Wind Druid is an odd build for a druid because it focuses on elemental attacks, but it's been an effect build ever since Diablo 2 became popular. This build focuses on the synergy between physical damage and cold damage.

  • Skill points
    • Cyclonic Armor: 20
    • Tornado: 20
    • Tornado: 20
    • Hurricane: 20
