E3 2023: the show is reinventing itself and taking up the Tokyo Game Show formula, it will last longer
After two complicated years, E3 will make its big comeback in person in 2023, we already knew that. The ESA, the organizing company, took advantage of this white year 2022 to question itself and review the formula of the high mass of video games, its survival depends on it. Just a few minutes ago, a press release was sent explaining the new terms of the Los Angeles show, which once again chose the Convention Center to showcase itself. E3 2023 will be held from Tuesday June 13 to Friday June 16, 2023, one day longer than previous editions. The show will also take into account the presence of the press, professionals and the public to avoid editions where a chaotic organization had been criticized, with endless queues at the entrance to each hall. It has therefore been agreed that the show will be divided into two zones, one dedicated especially for the press and professionals, and another only for the public, knowing that the days have also been divided. The business days will take place from Tuesday June 13 to Thursday June 15, while the public will be able to access the show on Thursday June 15 and Friday June 16, under the title E3 Gamer Days. These special days for the public will allow visitors to meet developers, their content creators, media personalities and participate in activities. The management of E3 in 2023 has been entrusted to ReedPop, the group behind events such as PAX, EGX, New York Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration. Its President also left a few words to restore hope as to the interest of this mythical show:
E3 is one of the rare opportunities for the global gaming industry to come together, unite as one strong voice, and show the world what it's creating. Our vision is to bring the industry together by reviving the traditional E3 week, bringing back that spark, and restoring E3's role as a truly magical global event for game creators and consumers alike.
