Halo Infinite Free For All (FFA) mode – Release date and how to play

The Halo multiplayer experience has always had many game modes to enjoy. This includes deathmatch and objective play modes. But with the launch of Halo Infinite's free-to-play multiplayer, there's been both a lack of popular game modes and even a way to select which one to play.

Luckily for angry fans, 343 Industries has added Free For All (FFA) to Halo Infinite's multiplayer. This update went live on December 14, 2021. With this update, players can now select which game mode they want to play.

With the addition of playlists, you might be wondering how to play these new game modes and playlists. Just go to the multiplayer tab and scroll down until you see the Free for All playlist. Then select it and start your game normally.

While it's a step in the right direction, some fans think it should have been included at launch. Also notably absent is the Infection game mode, a classic Halo game mode that many want. Hopefully this is a first step that will eventually bring Infection to Halo Infinite.
