Nacon sent us an official press release to announce the development of Hell is Us, a game developed by the Canadian studio Rogue Factor. If the title is making a bit of noise today, it's not only because it will run on the Unreal Engine 5. In fact, its creative director is none other than Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, the artistic director of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, not to mention his contribution to Guardians of the Galaxy.
From what we are told, this is the most ambitious project in the studio's history. “With Hell is Us, our goal is to reconnect with the great era of adventure and exploration, explains Jonathan Jacques-Belletête. Here, the quest log and the points of interest on the map are useless: we want players to immerse themselves in the adventure and be guided only by their reflection and their instincts." A formula that is reminiscent of a certain The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Regarding Hell is Us, it is presented as a third-person action-adventure game in a semi-open world where you will embody a character in search of his origins while his country is facing a civil war. . To top it off, supernatural creatures - reminiscent of ancient stelae and monuments in the region - have appeared recently. Contrary to the inhabitants who seem to be helpless in the face of what they call "The Calimity", the hero will be able to count on weapons and other special gadgets in order to fight these monsters.
We let you watch the trailer quietly, stating that the release of Hell is Us is scheduled for 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5.
