FieldSENSE leverages new technology and mechanics for smooth gameplay and authentic results on the pitch. Field's animation technologySENSE allows the « Hit Everything », a system that redefines the physical interactions of American football to allow every player to fight for every stretch of the field and change the outcome of a tackle. It also contains new mechanics such as 360 Cuts, which allows players to change direction in a flash while controlling the ball carrier, or Skill Based Passing, a new way to transmit the ball with optimal control and thus send it exactly to the desired place, with the desired power.

Regardless of game mode, FieldSENSE will impact the overall playability of Madden NFL 23, allowing everyone to better control their abilities and influence the outcome of the game. With a host of improvements to gameplay systems that solidify American football fundamentals (area coverage, pass-rush, containing moving quarterbacks, etc.), the gameplay of Madden NFL 23 is more balanced than ever.
The overall layout of the game also benefits from numerous improvements, with new player body types, new gear, and completely redone graphics based on new body scans and outfits of NFL players. Hundreds of new player and manager faces have also been scanned for the game's release, with more to come throughout the season. Not to mention new player-centric 4K touchdown cameras, identical to the current NFL television skin, which allow for a new level of realism.
Face of the Franchise : For his return, The League is focusing on creating a legendary NFL career in five key positions, including cornerback (for the first time), and the lofty goal of joining the "99 Club" of Madden NFL.
