The Monster Hunter movie hits theaters on December 30, but reports suggest that producer Paul Anderson already has at least one sequel in the works. Anderson and MonHun star Milla Jovovich hinted at a sequel in a recent Total Film Magazine interview.

As fans of the series know, Monster Hunter hosts loads of creatures, but Anderson said he could only fit "five or six" in the movie. However, this means there is room for expansion. "It's a huge, fun world that I think we're just beginning to scratch the surface of," he said.

From what Jovovich said, he's already started scratching. She told Total Film:

Certainly, we would like to do another one. I hope people will love it because I know Paul would love to do a sequel. I mean, he's already writing something...

Tencent and Constantin Films showed off a bit of what to expect from the first Monster Hunter movie in an October trailer. It shows the character of Jovovich and a squadron of soldiers transported to a strange world filled with over six types of monsters.
