In Monster Hunter Rise, you get a claw, and you get a claw, and YOU get a claw! Okay, maybe not so many claws. Either way, you'll want specific ones, and if you clicked on this article, you want to get your hands on some Piercing Claws for your problems.
Piercing Claw is a high tier material, so you'll have to battle high tier mobs to get it - which is expected since you're crafting high tier armor at this point and you just can't craft HR gear using low-ranking materials.
Monster Hunter Rise: Piercing Claws Locations
A fairly large list of armor and a smaller list of weapons require at least one piercing claw to craft, with Ludroth S gear in particular requiring a few to do it all.
Luckily, getting Piercing Claws isn't that difficult. Five high-ranking monsters can give you a piercing claw at the end of the quest, namely:
- Jagras
- Izuichi
- Ludroth
- Uroktor
- Rachnoid
Again: Piercing Claw is a high rank material, which means you have to kill those high rank mobs. These low tier mobs won't drop claws, so don't bother farming them in hopes of getting them.
If for some reason you're having trouble getting piercing claws from the monsters listed above at high rank, try capturing them instead of killing them. This is done quite easily by using a shock trap on the monster when it's low, then throwing a few Tranq bombs in its face to stun it.
Piercing Claw is one of the first high rank materials you will need to craft RH gear. Be aware that some materials must be obtained through Meowcenaries, so be sure to occupy them while you continue your hunts.
