A little over 15 days after officially announcing that the Kingdom of Alabasta will be in One Piece Odyssey, Bandai Namco Entertainment and the ILCA studio have decided to unveil gameplay within this arid and very desert country. Located on Sandy Island, the Kingdom of Alabasta is one of the largest islands the Straw Hat Pirates have visited, comparable to Wano Kuni, containing many towns, cities, and large rivers. It is a certain Nefertari Cobra who governs the place and it is there that the indications are supposed to be to find the Ancient Weapon Pluto according to the inscriptions of the Poneglyphs of the underground of Alubarna. The gameplay video does not really detail the contours of the scenario, but rather presents the aspect of the game, its gameplay mechanics, such as the possibility of visiting the animated places, strolling in the markets, getting to know other local characters who will undoubtedly give side missions to our pirates. It is also an opportunity to see that it will be possible to switch characters when the need arises, in particular by choosing Chopper to go to tight places. As for the fights, they take up the turn-based system of classic J-RPGs where you have to use the strength of your team to defeat the enemies, with their impressive stature.
As a reminder, One Piece Oddysey is expected for January 13, 2023 on PC, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series.
