Among the many games THQ Nordic revealed during its showcase tonight was Outcast 2: A New Beginning, a game announced a year ago that hadn't been released since. We have to believe that the Belgian developers of Appeal Studios gave their all to seduce us with this first gameplay trailer, and the result is quite surprising, especially for a production that does not come under AAA. There are indeed clear improvements since the remake of the first episode released in 2017, with a game that has gained in speed, nervousness and variety of gameplay. It must be said that the jetpack coupled with the wingsuit gives wings, that this holographic shield not only allows you to protect yourself, but also to strike an enemy, a bit like a Captain America. As for the story, it will transport us to the planet Adelpha which has been stripped of its resources, while its inhabitants have been reduced to a state of slavery. So it's up to our soldier, Cutter Slade, to protect the widow and the orphan.
Outcast 2: A New Beginning is scheduled for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series at an unknown date. However, the game will be playable at gamescom in Cologne from August 24 to 28.
