Synduality: a new mecha game by Bandai Namco, first post-apo video

It was perhaps the least hyped game in the September 14, 2022 State of Play, Synduality is actually the new project from Yosuke Futami, who worked on the Sword Art Online series for many years. Coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, this action game where you lead a mech controlled by a psychologically feverish young man takes place in a dystopian future (year 2222) where toxic rain and deformed creatures wreak havoc on the world. Faced with this post-apo world, humans have been living with robotics and their AI for quite some time. If they live together, one question remains, do they have the same belief about feelings or the meaning of emotion? Can they mix? These are the themes of this game which will arrive in 2023 if all goes well. Yosuke Futami has teamed up with two famous designers to support him, namely Neco (for character design) and Gyobu (for mech design), just to give consistency and credibility to his story. 

 

In terms of gameplay, we will therefore play the role of Drifters, who earn their living by collecting AO crystals; a rare resource that can only be obtained in a hostile environment. Each mission is carried out on board a mecha, called the Cradle Coffin, which is a very mobile armed vehicle that we will be able to personalize, both in its appearance and with the weapons that we can grant it. Drifters will be accompanied by a partner AI, Magus, who will be there to give instructions, advice and warnings to deal with every situation. It will be materialized by a holographic envelope that will closely follow the Cradle Coffin. If Synduality has its story mode, co-op and PvP modes are also planned, playable online. Synduality is expected to release in 2023.
