Under the Waves: Quantic Dream takes us to the depths of the oceans, first trailer

By freeing itself from Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2019 thanks to the entry of NetEase into its capital, Quantic Dream has become a publisher in its own right. Now on the lookout for new talent it can trust, David Cage's studio used Gamescom 2022's Opening Night Live to announce Under the Waves, a single-player adventure game set in the depths of the oceans. . The story will tell us how Stan, a man working for an oil drilling company, will try to return to his job while he is overwhelmed with grief. Developed by Parallel Studio, a young independent French studio of a dozen people, Under the Waves is a game that aims to be both touching, full of poetry and carried by a message of hope, everything that the Quantic studio Dream aspires somewhere in its games... Moreover, the company founded by David Cage has supported Parallel Studio by offering them access to their motion capture studio, voice recording, animations, quality control , location and much more.



In terms of gameplay, Under the Waves will allow us to control Stan in different situations, in full underwater exploration inside caves or wrecks, but also on board a small submarine that will allow him to go still further into the abyss.
