When is the DLC coming for the Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Odyssey crossover?

Ubisoft has surprised fans of the Assassin's Creed franchise with the franchise's first crossover DLC. Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Assassin's Creed Odyssey will receive free story DLC that ties into each other, and both will be available on December 14. It's even more shocking considering that Odyssey is now three years old and hasn't had a major update like this in a while.

Odyssey's DLC is titled "Those Beloved," and the trailer shows protagonist Kassandra on the hunt for a mythical artifact that may or may not have ties to Norse mythology. Valhalla's story DLC is titled "A Fatal Encounter," and protagonist Eivor comes face-to-face with Kassandra. Ubisoft promises that the DLC will include two new islands to explore, as well as exclusive rewards.

The trailer has female Eivor as a stand-in, but the character can be male or female, so presumably a male Eivor can be part of the DLC story as well. More suspicious is the lack of Alexios, the male protagonist of Odyssey. She can be part of both DLC stories depending on what type of character the player chooses at the start of the story, but Ubisoft directly names Kassandra in their DLC description. This may imply that the DLC only focuses on Kassandra, which could be due to her becoming a fan-favorite among the two siblings' protagonists.
