Available on the net for a few seconds, the trailer dedicated to Modern Warfare II multiplayer and Warzone 2.0 is above all good for the ears, since it is punctuated by Bullet with Butterfly Wings. It's unclear who is responsible for the Call of Duty trailer soundtracks, but between that track from The Smashing Pumpkins and New Order's Blue Monday used last year for Cold War, it's safe to say that she tastes good! Beyond these musical considerations, the sequences presented are above all an opportunity to observe in action the main novelties of the two games. In the first part, dedicated to Modern Warfare II, we can thus observe a few new maps jumbled up, passages above and under water (which we remind you that the appearance was particularly neat for this episode), an extraction of prisoner relating to the corresponding mode, the new diving dodge movement, the possibility of clinging to certain edges, the drill charge allowing you to dig surfaces to throw a grenade on them, the tactical camera to place in the scenery, and even the famous inflatable lure that we mentioned in our preview of last June.
The trailer then goes on to a section dedicated to Warzone 2.0 and immediately delivers the following quasi-subliminal message: “we have never seen a warzone like this” (“we have never seen such a warzone”). You can see an explosive drone, an aquatic mine, several vehicles (jeeps, helicopters, speedboats, etc.) and different places from the new Al Mazrah map. The trailer also briefly mentions the new third-person view as well as Gunsmith 2.0, the all-new weapon customization system. In less than three minutes, it is therefore the essence of the multiplayer and new assets of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 which are presented to us. Remember that the first will be released on October 28, while the second will be available for free from November 16. On PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series in both cases, since the two games share the same engine.
