Prison Breakout is a popular creative game mode that is frequently featured in the featured list on the Fortnite game mode selection screen. In the game, you play as prisoners or guards. Prisoners collect coins by completing tasks on the map, such as robbing shops. Guards collect coins by eliminating criminals and preventing them from completing these tasks.
To play the game from the home screen, you can tap the Change button on the right side of the screen to open the game mode selection screen. From there, you can choose all available games. Prison Breakout is often featured near the top. If you can't find it there, you can go to the Island Code tab in the game selection screen and use the following code for Echo's Prison Outbreak: 6531-4403-0726.

Once you're in the game, you'll automatically be assigned as a guard or a prisoner, depending on which team needs more people. It is possible to switch teams during the game by interacting with the switch team button, but only if the other team has space available.
As a guard, your objective is to prevent the prisoners from escaping the prison, or chase them down and eliminate them if they escape. As a prisoner, you must find a way to escape from the prison, then explore the city for weapons and rob businesses, while avoiding being arrested by the guards.
