Necromunda: Stockpile management of firearms is not exactly straightforward. In many ways, the Warhammer FPS is truly a throwback to shooting and platforming. Its fast-paced run-n-gun action is reminiscent of 1990s shooters, streamlining its inventory as much as possible.
However, there is an impenetrable level of inventory management that can get in your way if you love filming. This brief Necromunda: Hired Gun inventory guide will help you understand what's going on with the game's inventory systems.
How Necromunda's Gun Inventory Works
To keep Hired Gun's gameplay streamlined, developers Streum On Studio have made sure that there is no inventory accessible in-game. All item mix-ups are handled during the setup step of the mission.
During missions, you have an almost endless supply of weapons that you can collect but cannot use. There is only one weapon slot to swap weapons during a mission, but whatever you pick up will disappear into your invisible stash.
The only things you can pick up and buy during missions are Stimms - which you can buy in terminals or find on the map - and Proximity Grenades which are often found near medkits.
At the end of a mission, you will be able to check everything you have picked up in the loot screen. You have limited slots for each type of loot, shown on your character model on the right side of the screen.
If there's loot you want to keep, you'll need to click on it and click on a slot you want to put it in. Anything not put in a slot will be sold when you leave the inventory screen. Remember that you have 25 slots for Archeotech and Lucky charms, which you can use.
For weapons, armor, items, archaeotechs, and lucky charms, it's worth comparing and contrasting what you have before equipping them, only taking gear with flat stat boosts.
For firearms, you'll probably want to take a closer look. Find out what kind of weapon it is and what its overall stats are. There are only four pistol slots, four basic slots, four heavy slots, and three special slots, so fill them wisely.
As mentioned earlier, anything you don't remove from the loot screen will be sold for credits. You can then use these credits in Martyr's End to purchase new weapons, upgrades, and weapon parts.
Sometimes the flexibility offered by weapon customization and mods outweighs raw firepower, so consider selling expensive guns if your base arsenal is already pretty solid.
And that's how you "access" the Necromunda: Hired Gun inventory. While you can't use it like the inventories found in other modern shooters, you can use it to sift through your loot and choose the best parts to keep. This is also a place where you can equip guns in-game. For the other, check out our guide on equipping guns.
