According to the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), Fortnite is rated T for teens. For each game with this rating, it is recommended that people playing the game be at least 13 years of age or older. As for European players, Pan European Game Information (PEGI) rates Fortnite PEGI 12, which means that the game content is suitable for players aged 12 and over. However, these agencies are independent rating boards and not government agencies, making them similar to the American Motion Picture Association (MPA) for movies.
