Snipers are back in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, and there are currently only two long-range sniper weapons in the game that players can use. The Hunters Bolt Action Rifle is the new weapon added this season that can be found as floor loot this season.
The Boom Sniper Rifle Exotic is the second sniper added this season, and it's a purchasable weapon that players can obtain from any of the in-game NPCs. This exotic weapon is with new NPC #20 Lt John Llama which is located at the Llama Homestead landmark, south of Logjam Lumberyard.

The Boom Sniper Rifle costs around 600 gold bars and Lieutenant John Llama can sell five snipers, enough for the whole team. The Boom Sniper Rifle is unique because it has a 2,5x headshot multiplier, meaning you can basically hit an opponent with a single headshot. This weapon fires high-velocity hooks that are powerful enough to deal area damage.
