Enabling 2FA in Fortnite has several benefits, but the most important is that it makes your account difficult to access for people trying to get your information. 2FA is recommended for all games that require some type of login, as it adds a layer of security that usually no one else can access. Epic Games, developer of Fortnite, has several ways to enable 2FA, and all of them are easy!
How to enable 2FA in Fortnite
We've created a step-by-step guide for each option to make your account more secure. For security reasons, we can't show you a detailed picture of everything, but it's easy once you get to the right page. Whichever option you choose, you must first complete two steps. First, you need to log in to your account at Epic Games; then, you need to select Password & Security on the left. The image below shows the locations of these two items.

This is the best way to enable 2FA because it works on all platforms, games, and programs that allow you to configure it. It is highly recommended to protect all your accounts in this way due to its simplicity, convenience and versatility. Here are the steps to get started.
Step One: Download an authenticator app. Any secure authenticator app will do. One example we suggest is the Microsoft Authenticator app, as it is highly rated by users and is a very trusted source.
Step two: On your account security page, scroll down to Two-Factor Authentication and select Application Authenticator.
Step Three: Open the authenticator app you downloaded and select the option that lets you add an account via QR code. You can also enter the key manually, but it is very long.
Step 4: On the website, enter the 6-digit security code it gives you on the app.
