It is therefore from July 14 that Netflix will broadcast the first episode of the new Resident Evil series produced in live action. The information comes from the trailer unveiled by the video-on-demand platform, a sequence of just over a minute which allows us to understand that this time, the focus will be on Albert Wesker (played by the actor Lance Reddick) and his family. “Nearly 30 years after the detection of the T-virus, an epidemic exposes the secrets of the multinational Umbrella Corporation,” reads the synopsis.
This series will be an opportunity to get to know Jade and Billie, the daughters of Albert Wesker who we will see evolve through two different eras. The first will allow you to discover the city of New Raccoon City (in 2022) where life seems peaceful, while the second will plunge the viewer into a London (in 2036) devoured by the epidemic and populated by zombies. We imagine that the story will juggle between the two periods. It is recalled that it is Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) who is in the making, and that the series will have eight episodes. In the meantime, we remind you that the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness has been available on Netflix since last year.
