Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition resurfaces through a video and new images dedicated to the "Mercenaries" mode. The opportunity for Capcom to recall that the latter will welcome three new faces, namely Chris Redfield, Lady Dimitrescu and Karl Heisenberg. Thanks to her impressive stature, Lady Dimitrescu will tower over her opponents, allowing her to better slash them with her sharp claws. Note that each of his attacks will feed an Ecstasy gauge which, once full, will be used to trigger special actions such as summoning his daughters.
Chris Redfield will also benefit from a Rage gauge. Thanks to it, he will be able to increase his movement speed, the damage inflicted by his carnival punch and his firearms, as well as the reload speed and rate of fire. Finally, Karl Heisenberg can count on his giant hammer and his mastery of electricity to hurt his attackers. In addition to these three protagonists, the "Mercenaries" mode will be enriched with two additional levels: Bloody Village and Bloody River.
For the record, these new features designed for the "Mercenaries" mode are part of the Winters expansion which will include other additions such as the possibility of (re)doing the adventure with a third-person view. But the most interesting element remains the presence of the chapter "The shadows of Rose" which takes place after the events of the main campaign and focuses on the daughter of Ethan and Mia. Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition will be released on June 28 on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC, knowing that the Winters pack will also be offered separately.
