Patch 10.1 TFT: Analysis of early day items, comps and champions

Our articles on Combat Tactique Patch 10.1 TFT: Analysis of items, compositions and champions of the first days We observed the tendencies of the best players of the ladder to give you an account of the meta of the first days of patch 10.1. .

TFT patch 10.1 was released a few days ago, and changed the meta a lot with the arrival of new units and new champions. While many compositions that were strong remain strong, new ones have emerged, and many transitional champions are now used much more than in the past. We take stock of the meta trends seen at high ELO in the early days.

Lunar and Wood, the two best early game traits

Karma et Leona joined TFT, with a new origin: Lunar. The latter gives +15% critical damage, critical chance and +10% magic damage every 7 seconds to all allies, which makes it particularly strong in the early game. Champions costing only 3 and 1 gold, they are very popular during the first rounds when the fights tend to last long. They usually make it easy to secure a winning streak. If Leona tends to run out of steam and be replaced late in the game, Karma is very popular even in the late game for her ability to boost a carry.

Besides Leona and Karma, the class Druid also gained popularity with the regeneration buff (45 HP per second instead of 40), but especially from neeko who now casts his ultimate much more frequently (60 mana instead of 80). At level 2, she can easily carry items that will later go to other carries (morellonomicon, Lance de shojin, Discount headdress...) to allow for a winning streak.

An example of an early game comp that can guarantee a winning streak, and be gradually replaced by your other units.

Azir present in more and more compositions

Azir was already pretty strong in 9.24b, but the trooper damage buff he received in 10.1 made him a very dangerous new midgame carry. A lot of builds will play him with items that he keeps until the end of the game, especially if he's leveled up to 3, or he switches to another carry at the end of the game, like Brand for example.

This Blademaster/Summoner/Light build is growing in popularity, and it's worth giving Azir a Spatula item to allow him to attack faster.

Azir mainly works with Lance de shojin to summon soldiers repeatedly, and with certain items of SpatulaIncluding Deposed king blade to change it to Master of Blades ou Talisman of Light to turn him into a champion Light.

Lumière comps soar

Totally absent from the meta for long weeks, the different compositions Light come back in force after the buffs ofAatrox, Jax, Vayne and trait. In combination with the duo Lucian / Senna en Soulmates, or of Karma / Leona with Lunar, 6 Light teams are more popular than ever.

Besides this kind of compositions, the presence of 3 Lights with Yorick and others Summoner is also very interesting in 10.1. The latter has become one of the best units in the game, and above all one of the most contested.

The new items are doing pretty well

Patch 10.1 mainly brought a lot of changes to items, with 4 undergoing an overhaul, theEcho of Luden, Dagger of Statikk and Iron Solari Medallion which now work based on the wearer's level, and the addition of three new items.

Of these three objects, the Last breath is clearly the one that stands out. Reducing the target's armor by 90% for 3 seconds on a critical hit, it has found its way into comps Berzerkers et Prowlers, allowing them to melt the many Défenseurs and other opposing frontline in a few moments.

La titan determination, which replaces the ghost dancer, is still hard to gauge, but many high ELO players are experimenting with it on champions like Olaf or in compositions Light. It also works very well against Hell builds, with damage applying very regularly and building up the item's stacks very quickly. L'bramble armor doesn't seem to be used very much, other than for its good early game damage.

At the level of the redesigns, the Mercury looks very interesting compared to amumu, Nautilus and other malphite since it makes you immune to controls. It can be useful on your main carry, like nocturne ou Azir for example. the Gantelet givrant also stands out, being especially strong in combination with a Seraph's Embrace on champions like Kindred ou Ezreal, in order to regularly stun their target.

The Blender composition in freefall, the other top tier remain effective

Besides the nerves on nocturne et sivir, which finally completed the "Blender" composition (Blademaster / Assassin) is a bug fix for Nocturne, which allowed him to land two attacks on his primary target when applying his ultimate, and heal himself twice on that damage. He is now much weaker, which almost buried this build.

In parallel, the other compositions which were already solid in 9.24 still seem to work, in particular Mage / Ocean et Berzerker / Poison. The composition Underworld / Defender undergoes a little more the nerves ofamumu, Iron Solari Medallion and line Ocean, but is also still effective if you have the right units. She tends to use the bonus more 3 Summoners from now on.

Here are the observations collected based on the best players of the ladder concerning the first days of meta 10.1. If you think we forgot to mention some trends or have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments.
