- The third list of the best compositions
The composition Sylvester (Elderwood) / Mage with Aurelion Sol and Xayah
Despite appearances, this composition is well and truly centered aroundAurelion Sol which is the main carry thanks to its excellent area damage. With 3 or 5 Magi, he annihilates most opposing champions, while his allies sylvestres buy him time. xayah serves as a secondary carry to finish off units that remain alive.
This composition depends on quite specific objects on Aurelion Sol, but it remains relatively flexible in the choice of the final line-up.
The best Chosen (Chosen) champions
Any Chosen Sylvester (Elderwood): Ideally you want an elected Sylvester, avoiding Maokai and Nunu who don't really fit into the final composition. xayah, Rakan et Lulu are your best choices.
Lulu, Annie ou Aurelion Sol Chosen Mage: It is possible to play this composition with an elected Mage, especially if this one is Aurelion Sol.
Aatrox or Elected Sejuani Initiator (Vanguard): If applicable, if at level 8 you find Aatrox or Sejuani elected Initiator, you can take it simply to make your frontline more powerful.
When to Play Comp and Victory Conditions
When to play the comp
This composition is quite dependent on certain specific conditions to be played:
- You have good components for Aurelion Sol items : Aurelion Sol items aren't very flexible, you shouldn't consider this build unless you have an interesting start.
- You have a Sylvester start : This composition is much easier to play if you have Sylvesters quickly to make your transition easier.
Top 1 Conditions
You will usually need a condition to win the game.
- All your 2-star champions and Artifacts of Ornn : The earlier you have Ornn, the more powerful Artifacts you will have to help you in the late game.
- 9 Sylvesters with a Spatula : You will get a big boost by going to 9 Sylvesters with a Spatula item.

The objects of Aurelion Sol are the most important for this composition. Pistolame hextech : The Hextech Gunblade is excellent on Aurelion Sol to allow him to cast multiple times thanks to the enormous healing he gives himself with the damage of his spell. Other options : |
|
|
|
|
Rakan can be very powerful in the early/mid game with a few utility items. Solar Cape : Since his spell makes him advance in the middle of the opposing team, Rakan can easily apply the Sun Cloak to all champions, making this item a must. Other options : |

|
|
Xayah should use your remaining physical damage items. hand of justice : Both effects are great for Xayah, allowing her to either deal massive damage or stay alive for a very long time through healing. Other options : |
What to do with a Spatula?
Sylvester Sprout ( + ): This object can be very good for your composition, allowing you for example to play 9 Sylvesters at level 8 if you have a chosen Sylvester. It will usually go on Aurelion Sol.
Mage Hat ( + ): Another interesting option is to change one of your champions to a Mage. xayah et Aatrox will generally be your best options.
As usual, the Force of nature is always a great option.
Other Interesting Items
Chalice of Power : A great item to have to boost Aurelion Sol's magic power, it will usually go on Lulu.
Zeke's Crest et Iron Solari Medallion : Also relevant options for Lulu in order to boost and/or protect Aurelion Sol.
Who to put the Artefacts of Ornn on
This composition usually relies on Ornn in the late game. He creates very powerful Artifacts that take up an item slot and you can only have one per champion. Here is the list of Artifacts and who to equip them on in the composition:
- anime face, Death defiance, Eternal Winter et Randuin's sanctuary : Ornn, aatrox, Sejuani, Rakan (3 stars) or Annie (3 stars).
- Collector : Ornn, Sejuani, xayah.
- Infinity force : xayah, Rakan.
- Manazane : Aurelion Sol.
- Rocket-propelled fist : Veigar, Lulu.
- Zhonya's paradox : Aurelion Sol, Xayah.
- Obsidian cleaver : Ornn, Xayah.
Course of the game
Note that the composition recommendations at the different levels are only examples: you can play all kinds of different powerful boards until the final composition, the main thing being to find champions to hold the items of Aurelion Sol and xayah time to find them.
First carousel
If you want to force this composition, you should aim for a wand too large, the tear of the goddess to Training gloves. A Giant's Belt or a chainmail may also be of interest for Solar Cape de Rakan.
Early game (Stage 2)
Levels 3/4 (Round 2-1 or 2-2)
One of the best starters for this comp is if you have a chosen mage as Twisted fate, which can hold very well the Aurelion Sol items. If you have it, you can start by playing Fanatics (cultist) with. Other champions capable of equipping A.Sol's items will, for example, be Kindred, Weighs or even Teemo.
It's worth leveling up aggressively if your board is solid to try and go on a winning streak and have a good economy. To do this, try to combine objects quickly if you can and level up 4 since the round 2-1 ou 2-2.
Level 5 (Round 2-5)
It may be interesting tobuy more XP in round 2-3 for " pre-level » 5. Pre-leveling means that you will go to level 5 at the start of the next round, and you will therefore have a level 5 shop, increasing your chances of having champions there at 2, 3 and 4 gold.
(Editor's note: Pre-level = Buy experience to be at 8/10 XP (for example), and thus level up in the next round.)
Play Rakan whenever you get the chance, especially if he has a Solar Cape. At this point, you can continue playing Fanatics for example, or start playing 3 Sylvestres, Brawlers, 5 Mages...
Midgame (Stages 3 and 4)
Level 6 (Round 3-2)
You should almost always pass level 6 in round 3-2 : the faster you level up, the more likely you are to find your important champions (xayah, Aurelion Sol...). If you were in winning streak, and you have a good unit to add, you can level up by 3-1 to keep winning.
At this point, you should already have a beginning of composition Sylvester / Mage. If you find a Kindred, you can sometimes just play it to bring your items up to level 8.
Level 7 (Round 4-1)
You should always pass level 7 at the start of Stage 4. This is the opportunity to go into 6 Sylvesters logically. At this point, you usually have three options:
- You have lots of HP (50+), for an chosen Mage (Lulu or Annie) and many copies (5-6 minimum) champions at 2 range: you can then slow roll niveau 7 to get (in order of precedence) Rakan, Annie et 3 stars.
- The guide of slow roll
- You don't have much HP (under 40): You should roll some time to stabilize by finding 2 star champions and if possible at least one Aurelion Sol and/or Xayah. Avoid rolling below 20 gold.
- You have lots of HP but do not fit in the other conditions : this is what should happen to you most of the time, keep saving in order to roll at level 8.
Endgame (Stage 5+)
Level 8 (Round 5-1 or 4-5)
In the majority of cases, you will pass 8 level en round 5-1 to keep gold for roll. If you can pass level 8 by 4-5 and keep at least 30 gold (if you were on a winning streak and therefore have great eco), do it. If you have less than 40 HP, you can roll immediately, otherwise wait for the 5-1.
In 5-1, if you had a elected start of game (Maokai Brawler, Twisted Fate Mage...), sell it before you roll. When you roll, your goal is to get most of your 2 star champions (specifically Aurelion Sol et xayah) And a elected correct, even if it is not the best possible.
Don't hesitate to roll to 0 gold if necessary, the time to have all your champions improved. If once at 0 gold you are still missing copies, you can continue to roll each round until you have them or until the end of the game.
If you have a chosen Mage, you can play a version 5 Mages. This one is especially relevant if you have slow roll level 7 to have Annie, Rakan and Lulu 3 stars.
Another option if you were able to unlock a Spatula is to play 9 Sylvestres putting the object on Aurelion Sol.
Level 9 (End of Stage 5 or beginning of Stage 6)
Once you have all your 2 star champions, you usually have no reason to roll more. It may then be relevant to raise your economy to spend 9 level. You can then add a 4th Initiator, or a Azir for example, in order to have more frontline.
Un I ne can also be relevant if your opponents have a lot of armor and magic resistance thanks to his spell reducing them.
Positioning Tips
xayah is to be put in the second line because his spell can thus affect the opposing backline. However, be careful with this positioning: if your opponents have a lot of damage and / or area controls, it can be very dangerous and you should then consider separating your units further.
The positioning ofAurelion Sol is also extremely important: he always casts his spell in the direction of the opponent farthest from him. Try to position your team so that its laser hits as many targets as possible, most often opposite the opposing carry.
If you are against Assassins, you can try to further protect your Aurelion Sol surrounding it with more units.
