The composition 6 Sentinelles (Keeper) with Kennen and Xayah
This comp gained popularity in the 2nd half of Set 4.5, and bets on huge control and area damage with Kennan, Sejuani et Aatrox to win battles. With the important shield of sentinels, this comp aims to survive the brunt of enemy damage and kill all champions in one hit. xayah is also a very relevant carry, capable of reaching the opposing backline with his spell.
An advantage of this composition is that it is very powerful in the early / mid game, allowing you to get 3 star champions at the end of the game.
The best Chosen (Chosen) champions
Know Élu Sentinelle (Keeper): It is the most interesting chosen one that you will have most often when you go to roll level 7.
Xayah Chosen Sentinel, Sylvester (Elderwood) ou Executioner (Execute): If you find an Chosen Xayah, regardless of the trait it can be interesting to play.
Rakan ou Jarvan IV Chosen Sentinel (Keeper): If you find one of these chosen Sentinels early in the game, you can simply keep them. Avoid keeping Elise which is usually too low.
When to Play Comp and Victory Conditions
When to play the comp
This composition is rather easy to force, since you will not have too much difficulty finding a suitable chosen one at level 7. The only condition to respect to play it is the following:
- You have good items for Kennen : Kennen really needs the Guardian Angel and the Morellonomicon to work. Xayah is more flexible on its objects.
Top 1 Conditions
You will usually need a condition to win the game.
- Kennen and a 4 gold champion in 3 stars : Xayah is ideal, but another champion at 4 gold in 3 stars is an excellent win condition. You can target those that are uncontested (like Cho'Gath for example).
- Level 9 with legendary champions : Another option is to go directly to level 9 to add a lot of powerful champions, even if it means playing only 4 Sentinels. You can then go on a composition « Peeba ».

Xayah can use almost all of your physical damage items. hand of justice : This item is ideal on Xayah, when she gets the heal she can survive for a very long time by becoming untargetable with her spell, while the bonus damage often allows her to one-shot the opponent's composition. She can play multiple copies without hesitation. Other options : |
What to do with a Spatula?
Sylvester Sprout ( + ): This object is very interesting to have your 3 Sylvesters, by changing Kennan for example. You can also play 6 Sylvesters with only 4 Sentinels.
Breastplate of the Initiator ( + ): You can increase to 4 Initiators by changing Kennan, Rakan ou Jarvan IV in Initiator for example.
Banner of the Warmaster ( + ): If applicable, you can use this item to get a third Warmaster.
As usual, the Force of nature is always a great option.
Other Interesting Items
Utility objects : At the end of the game, you should try to take utility items if your carries already have 3 items each: Redemption, Shroud of appeasement, Zephyr...
Zeke's Crest et Chalice of Power : If you have components left to make them, aura items can be interesting.
Who to put the Artefacts of Ornn on
This composition usually relies on Ornn in the late game. He creates very powerful Artifacts that take up an item slot and you can only have one per champion. Here is the list of Artifacts and who to equip them on in the composition:
- anime face, Death defiance, Eternal Winter et Randuin's sanctuary : Ornn, Aatrox, Sejuani, Rakan ou Jarvan IV.
- Collector : Xayah, Ornn, Sejuani ou Azir.
- Zhonya's paradox, Obsidian cleaveret Infinity force : Aatrox, Kennen ou Xayah.
- Manazane : Azir, Sejuani, Aatrox or Rakan.
- Rocket-propelled fist : Rakan, Jarvan IV or Ornn.
Course of the game
First carousel
If you want to force this composition, you can aim for a BF Sword : The Guardian Angel is the most important object in the composition and this component tends to be highly contested. Otherwise, Training gloves are very interesting.
Early game (Stage 2)
Levels 3/4 (Round 2-3)
You can play different traits at the start of the game, the start Fanatic (cultist) being often the most interesting with Twisted fate ou Vladimir to hold your items. Otherwise, you can play Masters of War (Warlord) for example, with Nidalee who holds the items. Adapt your composition according to theelected at the start of the game that you find.
If you think your board is capable of making a winning streak, you can play aggressively. To do this, try to slam objects quickly if you can and level up 4 since the round 2-1 ou 2-2. Otherwise, just save up and make a losing streak.
Level 5 (Round 2-5 or 2-7)
Since you want to quickly get 3 gold champions, it might be worthbuy more XP in round 2-3 for " pre-level » 5. Pre-leveling means that you will go to level 5 at the start of the next round, and that you will therefore have a level 5 shop, increasing your chances of having champions there at 2 and 3 gold. Only consider this option if you are in a winning streak and it doesn't cost you an economy tier.

Otherwise, just level up normally by round 2-7.
Midgame (Stages 3 and 4)
Level 6 (Round 3-2)
You should almost always pass level 6 in round 3-2 : the faster you level up, the more likely you are to find your important champions (Kennen, Xayah...). If you were in winning streak, and you have a good unit to add, you can level up by 3-1 to keep winning.

If you were in losing streak, sell your chosen one at the beginning of the game and you can roll a bit at level 6 to have a more interesting chosen one. With luck you may find Kennen elected Sentinel, but one Rakan or a Jarvan IV can also do the trick, the goal being to stabilize you.
However, avoid rolling below 20 gold. so you can rebuild your economy quickly.
Level 7 (Round 4-1)
You should always pass level 7 at the start of Stage 4. If you already have a elected Sentinel (Jarvan IV, Friend ou Kennan), do not sell it. Otherwise, sell your chosen one at the start of the game and you should then roll the time to have an interesting chosen one (Kennan even sometimes xayah if you're lucky). It is also an opportunity to pass 6 Sentinels.
Avoid rolling below 20 gold again, the goal being to be able to pass level 8 at the beginning of Stage 5. After rolling, you should increase your economy and you then have two options:
- You have at least 5 or 6 copies of Kennen and you are not contested : You can slow roll level 7 to get 3 star Kennen, this one usually allows you to go into a win streak.
- You're challenged or you don't have a lot of Kennen : Raise your economy to 50 gold to go directly to level 8.

Endgame (Stage 5+)
Level 8 (Round 5-1 or 4-5)
In the majority of cases, you will pass 8 level en round 5-1 to keep gold for roll. However, you can pass level 8 in round 4-5 and wait for the 5-1 for roll if you were in winning streak and therefore you had an excellent economy.
Once level 8, you should roll until you have the majority of your champions (especially xayah) in 2 stars. Then you have 3 options depending on your game state:
- If you still have a lot of HP and a good economy and you are playing for the top 1 : Try to go up to 50 gold and slow roll for Kennen and a 4 gold champion in 3 stars. Ideally, this champion should be Xayah if no one else is playing her, but you can also target a champion that is simply uncontested in your lobby: Cho'Gath, Aatrox, Sejuani or Morgana for example.
- If you are low on HP and playing for top 4 : You should donkey roll (roll to 0 every round) to have all your 2 star champions and if possible 3 star Kennen.
- If you are in an in-between and you are aiming for the top 2 / top 3 : You will often be in a situation where you see that a player is too strong for you to beat him, in this case you can simply try to pass level 9 and play for a top 2.
Level 9 (Beginning of Stage 6)
If you pass 9 level, you can just add a powerful legendary champion without touching your composition too much, like for example Read without, Zilean or even Sept..
Another option if you have a lot of gold left is to sell your elected Sentinel (if it is for example Jarvan IV or Rakan) and play 4 Sentinels by adding a chosen legendary and other 5 PO champions.

Positioning Tips
The positioning varies very little with this composition since you want your sentinels stand next to each other to give each other the shield. Because of this, you are often vulnerable to AOEs (neeko, Aurelion Sol, Sejuani...).
Kennan should always be frontline, while xayah can also be but is more often in the second line.
Against certain compositions (Kayle, Sivir, Aurelion Sol...), you should try to position yourself directly in front of their carry by putting yourself on the right or on the left. In this situation, xayah is interesting in the front line to kill the opposing carries in the corners.
Reproduce this positioning identically on the left against an opponent positioned on the left.
If you're up against a champion like Aurelion Sol or against Assassins, Azir soldiers can go to the lower corners: they thus serve as bait for the spell of Aurelion Sol, and waste time for champions who jump into the backline.
Try to have your Sejuani and your Aatrox side by side, for Aatrox to lure the champions into Sejuani's stun. Remember to shift Aatrox to the side where he is opposed to the opposing carry if the latter has no Mercury, so that he brings it to the clinch.
