Le set 2 of TFT arrives with the patch 9.22 November 6, and brings a lot of changes that we will try to summarize in order to clarify all the information given so far.

System changes

Two changes will strongly impact the current game system since the board will change. He will have two more rowsbut also elementary squares that will be added to it and these will appear in turn at the start of each new stage. To know more, you can click below.

Damage dealt to players when they lose has been reduced in the early game and increased in the late game:

  • 3/3/3/4/5/6 β‡’ 2/3/4/5/6/7 (aux niveaux 4/5/6/7/8/9)

Summoned units no longer deal damage to the opposing player when they lose, but they count as if their summoner was still alive if there is at least one left. 

Chances of getting a tier 1/2/3/4/5 champion at level 8 have been changed:

  • 15/20/35/22/8 β‡’ 15/20/35/24/6

Changes to classes and origins

Almost all the classes and origins that existed in set 1 will give way to new traits, with a few exceptions. On the program in this patch, 13 origins and 12 classes are planned.

Some champions will also have special mechanics, namely Qiyana et Luxury which may change origin depending on the game.

Champion Changes

All New Champions

As with the classes and origins, almost all the champions of set 1 are replaced. Patch 9.22 counts 51 champions including a majority of new ones, and a few that remain but will have different origins, classes or costs.

In addition, a new bearing set at 7 PO has been added and is currently only for Lux and its many elemental forms.

Changes to the number of champions available

The number of champions available per tier will be reduced:

  • Tier 1 : 39 β‡’ 29
  • Tier 2 : 26 β‡’ 22
  • Tier 3 : 18 β‡’ 16
  • Tier 4 : 13 β‡’ 12
  • Tier 5: 10 (no changes)

This change means that it will be harder to find a champion if other players have it as well, but will instead be easier to find ones that aren't already contested.

Mana Generation Changes

Finally, the mana generation of champions will also be slightly modified:

  • Champion level 1: 6 to 10 mana generated per attack β‡’ 8 mana generated per attack
  • Champion level 2: 10 mana generated per attack (no changes)
  • Champion level 3: 10 mana generated per attack β‡’ 12 mana generated per attack

Champions will generate 15% less mana when taking damage.



Item Changes

Objects will also be retouched, including the Spatula which will allow new combinations to give champions an additional class or origin.

Red Buff now inflicts 2% of target's max HP as true damage at impact besides the burn.

Nerves

spatula objects no longer give double stats of the base component.

Impact damage changed: 5% max HP as true damage β†’ 8% current HP as physical damage

HP recovered on resurrection reduced: 500 HP β†’ 400 HP

Damage reduced: 125 pure damage β†’ 100 pure damage

Damage reduced: 180 magic damage β†’ 150 magic damage

Loot Changes

  • Rare boxes (blue) give on average a little less PO
  • Legendary (gold) boxes give on average a little less PO
  • Chance of getting completed items slightly reduced
  • The Dragon now gives two common boxes (black) in addition to the completed object.
  • Inferno Dragon and Rift Herald now give a common box (black) and a rare box (blue) in addition to the completed object.

Ranked Changes

  • Ranked games will be unavailable during patch 9.22, and will return in 9.23 on Wednesday November 20.
  • Finishing 4th or better will never cause you to lose LP again. Finishing 5th or worse will never earn you any more.

Challenger and Grand Master places are reduced on the different servers:

  • Korea, Vietnam and China: 300 places in Challenger, 700 places in Grand Master.
  • Western Europe and North America: 200 places in Challenger, 500 places in Grand Master.
  • All other regions: 50 Challenger slots, 100 Grandmaster slots.
