The emblems, sometimes referred to as spatula items, are the items that allow champions to get an additional trait. With the Set 5.5 of TFT that removes shadow objects, some recipes with shadow spatulas are also disappearing.
However, it will now be possible to obtain emblems for all traits (excluding those at 5 gold) via theArmory or via Tome of Emblems, a new rare loot.

How does TFT Set 5.5's Tome of Emblems work?
Le Tome of Emblems is a new rare loot. It can appear either in a golden orb on a PVE round, or occasionally in divine blessing, a new mechanic introduced with Set 5.5.

When you have the Tome of Emblems, it takes up space on your bench and you must "sell" it to activate it. He will then offer you four emblems, two of which are guaranteed to be traits you're currently playing. You can only choose one.
As said above, now every line (except those specific to 5 gold champions, such as Teemo's Cruel) can be obtained as an emblem, including classes like Ranger or Brawler for example. Some therefore cannot be combined from a Spatula, but can only be found via a Tome of Emblems or the Armory.
All of these changes are coming with Set 5.5, which will hit the live servers on Wednesday July 21, 2021.
