The composition 6 Star Guardians of Teamfight Tactics relies on the excessive mana generation of the various Sorcerers to anoint the enemy team with magic damage, with Neeko to control them and serve as a tank.

Comp 6 Star Guardians / Sorcerer
The composition 6 Star Guardians allows you to generate a lot of mana for your spellcasters, coupled with 4 Wizards to boost their damage. This composition can now be played in different ways: by remaining 7 level for slow roll and find syndra, neeko et Ahri levels 3, or passing quickly 8 level to go get some legendary units very powerful. This second choice is the most recommended, especially if you get your hands on a Spatula.
When to Play This Comp and Victory Conditions
These two versions of the Sorcerer composition are not extremely versatile, and therefore require rather specific conditions to be considered:
- You have a lot of Chopsticks too big and Tears of the Goddess to make the ideal objects.
- Nobody else (or another max player) don't play the same composition, leaving the units available.
- You got your hands on a Spatula relatively early in the game.
Indeed, this composition will be effective to get a top 4 when it is not contested, but it will really highroll to win the game:
- Have an object of Spatula to play 6 Star Guardians + 6 Sorcerers or change a powerful unit to Guardian of the stars (Urgot, Viktor...).
- To have some legendary champions tier 2 (Urgot, Xerath, Janna) in carry at 9 level with your Sorcerers.
- To have neeko, and Syndra levels 3 with the perfect objects.
Preferred items
neeko |
||||
Guardian angel |
Warmog Armor |
Ion Spark |
||
+ | + | + | ||
The objects of neeko are the most importants since she will be your main tank. L'Guardian angel is very strong since it allows him to guarantee the use of his ultimate several times, while l'Warmog Armor gives her a bonus of 300 shield HP with Protector each time she casts her spell. Finally, l'Ion Spark will suit him very well, reducing the magic resistance of nearby opponents (which is very good for your Wizards) and dealing damage to those who cast spells.
Another often-popular option is the use of three dodge items: Mercury, Gripper trap et Shroud of Calming. With 60% dodge, she becomes very hard to kill for physical damage champions like Jhin, Jinx ou Vayne. |
Viktor ou syndra |
||||
blue buff |
morellonomicon |
Rabadon's Headdress |
||
+ | + | + | ||
Your primary DPS may vary: Viktor is generally favored for its area damage, but syndra has the advantage of generating mana for its allies. The objects generally remain the same: a blue buff for his ultimate regularly and a morellonomicon (mainly for Viktor) to reduce the heal and inflict the burn. As a bonus, a Rabadon's Headdress will also be interesting in order to boost its magic power. This can be replaced by a Precious Gauntlet or a Echo of Luden.
Another option in third is to adopt a defensive choice: a Gripper trap or a Guardian angel will do just fine, for example. |
Janna |
||||
Lance de Shojin |
Chalice of Power |
|||
+ | + | |||
In the late game, Janna will usually be a great win condition if she has mana generation items. By far the most important is the Lance de Shojin, allowing him to cast his ultimate repeatedly. Ideally, she wants a second mana item (either a second Shojin or a Chalice of Power) to allow him to cast his first ultimate two basic attacks early.
Another very effective option is to give it a Ouragan de Runaan to double the mana generation of the Spear of Shojin. Otherwise, she can also use a defensive object since she remains rather fragile: Mercury et Gripper trap will often be the best choices. |
Spatula and other objects
Le Star Guardian Charm ( + ) is extremely potent in this composition and achieve a Spatula should be a top priority if you find one on a Carousel. Indeed, it allows you for example to play 6 Wizards et 6 Star Guardians au 8 level if you equip it on a Wizard (often Viktor).
It is also possible to put it on a Protective (Rakan, Urgot...) to play 4 Protectors + 6 Star Guardians and have more frontline. In this last perspective, you can finally make a Protector's Breastplate ( + ) On syndra for example to also allow you to have your 4 Protectors at level 9.
At the end of the game, you can use one of your legendary units and carry : Xerath with Mercury et Guinsoo's Raging Blade can replace Viktor, the objects of this one then going on syndra.
Course of the game
Early game (levels 3/4/5)
The beginning of the game of this kind of composition is rather simple: you can quickly have a combination of 2 Wizards and 3 Star Guardians with Zoe, Ahri and Poppy for example, adding a second Initiator (Leona, Mordekaiser ou Jayce) in temporary frontline at 4 level. In this kind of situation, you can start donating your items of neeko à poppy for example, by selling it once you have found Neeko niveau 2.
Au 5 level, you will usually try to switch to 4 Sorcerers + 3 Star Guardians, using Annie and often Twisted fateOr syndra if you have already found it without needing to roll. You should be pretty strong, especially if you have Ahri, TF ou Annie level 2. For the latter, she will act as a tank with your defensive items and the important shield of her ultimate. Remember to keep aside your Ahri, neeko et syndra : these champions will be interesting to have at 3 level.
Midgame (levels 6/7)
Le 6 level will usually be a pivotal moment in your composition which should usually happen around the round 3-4 where you will be taken to roll a little to stabilize yourself if you are rather weak. In this case, look for some upgrades on your particular carries. Try not to no roll below 30 gold, you will need your gold to pass 7 level quickly.
When you play the version 6 Star Guardians, you'll usually want to try and fetch the level 7 in round 4-1 before slowroll : you will increase your chances of finding syndra, neeko et Soraka, but you can also switch to 6 Guardians + 4 Sorcerers.
Indeed, at 7 level you will usually want slow roll if you are not challenged on your composition: roll interests above 50 gold each round to try to find champions 3 level. Your targets will almost always be Ahri, syndra et neeko depending on your version. Generally, you'll want to slow roll until you've found them or there aren't many missing, in which case you should roll a little more until you get your upgrades and then level up to level 8.

Another possibility is simply to get level 8 (or even 9) as soon as possible, especially if you are challenged.
Endgame (level 8+)
Note that if other players take your units, or if you have a Spatula allowing you to make stronger compositions, it may be more important to spend 8 level quickly, in 4-3 or 4-5 round for example.
At the moment, assess the situation instead : if you only need a few champions to have syndra, neeko ou Ahri niveau 3, try slow roll a little more. If you are already very strong and you don't need it, consider saving up to level 9 and add a legendary champion.
Your best choice if you decide to pass 9 level you will have a choice to make between adding a legendary champion tier 2 (Aurelion Sol, Thresh, Gangplank...) or one Sixth Wizard. It is also possible to add a Mystique (usually Lulu, in which case you will want to change your Jarvan IV by Rakan ou Xin Zhao for celestial beings).
Different possible transitions
It is important to note that while this composition seems very fixed, there are several alternative versions.
Xin Zhao |
Rakan |
Ahri |
syndra |
neeko |
Soraka |
|
|
Urgot () |
Zoe |
Rakan |
Ahri |
Syndra () |
neeko |
Soraka |
|
|
Urgot |
If you have a Spatula to make a Protector's Breastplate or a Guardian of the Galaxy Charm, you should aim for level 9. This allows you to play 6 Star Guardians + 4 Protectors. |
Zoe |
Annie |
Ahri |
syndra |
Viktor |
Xerath |
|
|
Another option if you are challenged on the Star Guardians is to play 6 Wizards, and then add a main carry. The best will usually be Riven (which uses very well the objects of neeko). Finally, it is possible to simply play Super Mecha, with defensive objects or Thief's Gloves.

Positioning Tips
The key to good positioning with this composition is to regularly scout the enemy boards, especially to prevent your neeko be the victim of a Zephyr. This will very often mean a lost round if it happens, as the rest of your backline is so fragile. If you are facing a Zephyr, don't hesitate to shift Neeko at the last moment and put Rakan instead for him to tank control.
What about neeko, she is very effective alone in the frontline because it forces opponents to come around her, thus pushing them all to take the area stun.
The rest of your units are usually positioned on the back line, trying to put your most important units in the corners (if there are no Blitzcrank) so that they are targeted last.
