- The third list of the best compositions
The composition Dragonsoul (Dragonsoul) with Aurelion Sol and Shyvana
The composition 6 Dragon Souls is one of the easiest to force, since it uses a lot of different components and can play a variety of chosen ones. She usually uses Shyvana as a midgame carry, with Aurelion Sol to keep pace in lategame.
One of the peculiarities of this composition is the importance of positioning: with the right objects, Aurelion Sol must be put in the front line to get the boost fromdragon soul at the start of the fight and benefit from the additional damage.
The best Chosen (Chosen) champions
Aurelion Sol Chosen Dragon Soul (Dragonsoul) ou Mage : Logically, Aurelion Sol is the best Chosen you can have to unlock it instantly in 2 stars.
Any Chosen Dragonsoul: Overall, you can play any Chosen Dragon Soul. Shyvana is the best on the list, but if you have a Brand or a Brew at the start of the game, for example, you can keep it. However, avoid Tristana.
Olaf Chosen Slayer: If necessary, if you find Murderer Olaf, you can play him instead of Shyvana (with the same kind of objects) and add Pyke or Samira.
Aatrox ou Sejuani Chosen Initiator (Vanguard) ou Morgana Chosen Siphon ou Sage (Enlighened): Any source of control, utility, or tankiness will do.
When to Play Comp and Victory Conditions
When to play the comp
This composition is flexible at the unit level but still depends on at least one condition to be able to be played:
- You have good items for Shyvana and/or Aurelion Sol : This composition can play with a lot of chosen ones and can be contested, the only condition for it to be viable is to obtain good objects quickly.
Top 1 Conditions
You will usually need one condition to win the game:
- Shyvana and/or Aurelion Sol 3 stars : One of your 3-star carries is the best way to get top 1, especially Aurelion Sol (although he's much harder to get than Shyvana).
- Level 9 with 2-Star Legendary Champions : If you can't get Aurelion Sol 3, you should go to level 9 to play Swain, Samira, Azir, Ornn...
- Obtain a Spatula : This composition really appreciates the Spatula, to change Shyvana or Swain into a Mage, or to play 9 Dragon Souls.
Preferred items

Having at least 2 items for Shyvana guarantees you a good early/mid game. Ouragan de Runaan : By far the best item for Shyvana, it allows her to hit two targets with her burn and with Dragon Soul's boosted attacks. She can use multiple copies. Other options : |
|
||
|
|
|
Aurelion Sol is your late game carry, so his items should be favored. Guardian angel : This object is necessary so that you can position your Aurelion Sol in the frontline without risking it being one-shot before casting. Other options : |

|
|
|
Swain is your third late game carry, it's great to equip with your remaining defensive items. Warmog Armor : Since Swain gains a percentage of his max HP when he transforms, this item is great for making him even more tanky. Other options : |
What to do with a Spatula?
Mage Hat ( + ): This item allows you to do without a weak 3rd Mage. Moreover, change Shyvana ou Swain in Mage allows them to gain twice the bonus HP when transforming, and deal a lot of extra damage.
Dragon Spirit ( + ): This object can allow you to play 9 Dragon Souls. You can put it on a 3rd Mage (Annie, Lulu...) or on a secondary carry like Samira for example.
As usual, the Force of nature is always a great option.
Other Interesting Items
Utility objects : At the end of the game, you should try to take utility items if your carries already have 3 items each: Redemption, Shroud of appeasement, Zephyr...
Course of the game
First carousel
If you want to force this comp, you should try aiming for a curved arch on the first carousel. If you do not need multiple copies, one Ouragan de Runaan will save you a lot of HP if you have it quickly on Shyvana. Otherwise, try to have a Wand too big or a BF Sword.
Early game (Stage 2)
Levels 3/4 (Round 2-1, 2-2 or 2-3)
The best way to play a composition 6 Dragon Souls is to start with Brawlers, quickly equipping Shyvana with 3 Dragon Souls to provide him with additional damage. In this scenario, Nunu can equip itemsAurelion Sol.
It's worth leveling up aggressively if your board is strong to try and make a winning streak and thus have a good economy. To do this, try to combine objects quickly if you can and level up 4 since the round 2-1 ou 2-2.
If you don't not a good start, you can instead do a losing streak without buying XP in order to save as much as possible. In this case, you should roll a bit once you get to level 6 to find a chosen one at 3 range and stabilize.
Level 5 (Round 2-5 or 2-7)
If you are on a winning streak, it may be worthbuy more XP in round 2-3 for " pre-level » 5. Pre-leveling means that you will go to level 5 at the start of the next round, and you will therefore have a level 5 shop, increasing your chances of having champions there at 2, 3 and 4 gold.
(Editor's note: Pre-level = Buy experience to be at 8/10 XP (for example), and thus level up in the next round.)
Otherwise, you want to pass 5 level en round 2-7 if you haven't already purchased experience.
Midgame (Stages 3 and 4)
Level 6 (Round 3-2)
You should always pass level 6 in round 3-2 : the faster you level up, the more likely you are to find your important champions (Aurelion Sol, Shyvana, Aatrox, Morgana...). If you were in winning streak, and you have a good unit to add, you can level up by round 3-1 to keep winning.
Even if you are weak, avoid rolling at this time and instead keep a good economy so you can go 7 later and try to stabilize at this time.
Level 7 (Round 4-1)
You should always pass level 7 at the start of Stage 4. At this point, you usually have two options:
- You don't have much HP left (less than 40) : You should roll some time to stabilize by finding at least 2 stars, a 3 PO elected official (Shyvana, yummi, Kennan, Kindred...), and if possible at least one Aurelion Sol. Avoid rolling below 20 gold. In this situation, you are usually playing to get the top 4.
- You still have enough HP or your board is strong enough : This should happen to you most of the time. Keep saving in order to roll at level 8.
Endgame (Stage 5+)
Level 8 (Round 5-1 or 4-5)
In the majority of cases, you will pass 8 level en round 5-1 to keep gold for roll. If you can pass level 8 by 4-5 and keep at least 30 gold (if you were on a winning streak and therefore have excellent economy), do it.
At 5-1, you have two front roll options : if you had a Chosen Dragon Soul (Brand, Braum, Shyvana...), you can keep it. Otherwise you can sell your chosen one at the beginning of the game and roll for one voted most powerful at 4 gold : Aurelion Sol, Aatrox, Morgana, Sejuani, Olaf...
When you roll, your goal is to get most of your 2 star champions (specifically Aurelion Sol) and a good frontline. You don't necessarily need Swain right away, although this is a significant plus.
The final composition involves lots of champions at 4 gold and is therefore rather expensive, you probably won't get all your upgrades at 5-1. If you still have a lot of HP, you can raise your economy to roll again when you have about 30 PO. Otherwise, roll your gold each round praying to find your 2-star champions.
If you find a Olaf Chosen Murderer ( dragon soul), you can sell your Shyvana and play it as secondary carry instead. In this case, Samira naturally finds its place in the composition.
If you had a Spatula or you can take a Dragon Spirit on the Carousel you can play 9 Dragon Souls.
Once your board is stabilized (your 2-star carries and a strong frontline), you should boost your economy up to 50 gold and then you have two options :
- Slow roll for 3-star Shyvana or Aurelion Sol and 2-star Swain : If you are not not contested, and especially if you have 1 or 2 Neeko Helping Hands, you should try to roll your excess gold each round to try and get Shyvana, or better yet Aurelion Sol, 3 stars. When you are only missing a few copies, roll all your gold until you find them. Also try to have Swain 2 if possible.
- Pass level 9 : If you are challenged, you should try to level up to 9 to increase your chances of getting 2-star legendary champions and add more (Swain, Samira, Zilean, Azir...).
- The Slow roll guide
Level 9 (End of Stage 5 or beginning of Stage 6)
As said above, at level 9 you will generally want to add a powerful unit: Swain, Sejuani, Azir, Sett, Yone, Zilean...
Positioning Tips
Positioning is key with this composition: you want your Aurelion Sol on the front line at one end of the board. This allows him to get the bonus dragon soul quickly, but also to cast his spell faster since he tank damage. L'Guardian angel and Pistolame hextech ( Siphonor) are there to prevent him from dying too quickly.
You always want to have your Aurelion Sol on the other hand, since it targets the furthest champion. If it is on the left, shift your Aurelion Sol to the right.
If you have Swain 2 stars or with good defensive items, you can put it in First line and put your Braum in the background so that it is Swain, Shyvana et Aurelion Sol who are typed first and receive the bonus dragon soul.
If you're playing against a champion like Kayle ou Kalista with a sacred clothe Ultra-fast cannon for example, avoid having your Shyvana right in front : this one will be killed quickly and Kayle will not stop hitting it even after it transforms since it has enough range to continue to reach it.
Against an opponent who puts his carry in a corner without Mercury, try to put Aatrox on the other side of the board to ensure he catches it with his spell.
