The composition Reroll Malzahar and Cho'Gath with Mutant
If you find several Malzahar at the start of the game, you can make it your main carry. With a strategy of slow roll at level 8, you can pass it 3 stars, allowing it to inflict very good magic damage over time. Cho'Gath is also a relevant main tank, making it possible to absorb enemy damage and to temporize for a relatively long time in order to give Malzahar time to annihilate the opposing team.
At the end of the game, you can play Zac, Dr. World et Soot Kench and thus have 4 Fighters (Bruiser) in order to consolidate your frontline and strengthen your Cho'Gath, giving Malzahar time to cast his skill several times and thus accumulate magic damage. Otherwise you can just play Sion to get the bonus Colossus.
The best mutations to play the Malzahar and Cho'Gath comp
You will have to adapt your composition according to the mutation of the game. As a reminder, here are some examples of mutations that will interest you to play this composition, in order of priority:
- Synaptic Web : Mutant spells cost 20 / 40 mana less (with a minimum of 10).
- Voriacious appetite : Mutants gain 20 / 30 attack power and damage each time an ally dies. *
- Voidborn : (3) Mutants execute targets they attack when they drop below 20% HP (5) and 40% of their damage dealt is converted to pure damage.
- Metamorphosis : Mutants buff every 2 seconds, gaining 18/25 bonus armor and magic resist and 1/2 attack damage and potency, up to 5 times.
* With Voracious appetite, it is interesting to play 4 Fighters rather than 2 Colossi, because you want as many units on your team as possible to give stats on death. You can also play training manikins and Zz'Rot Portals.
Unfolding and passages of levels
Since this is a comp where you want 3-star champions, the important thing is to prioritize your economy in the early game, get to a certain level, and “ slow roll , i.e. roll your excess gold above 50 gold every round.
Here are the rounds in which you want to level up. Those marked with a * are preferred if you can be on a winning streak.
4 level : Round 2-3 (or 2-1*)
5 level : Round 3-2 (or 2-5*)
6 level : Round 3-2 (or 3-1*)
7 level : Round 4-1 (or 3-5*)
8 level : Round 5-1 (or 4-5*)
To Malzahar et Cho'Gath, you want slow roll at level 8. To do this, you will need to place powerful units in order to keep as many hit points as possible to reach level 8 and start your slow roll phase. However, you can roll a little at level 7 to stabilize your board.
Once you have your 3-star champions, you'll need to try to take care of your placement to allow Malzahar to attack untargeted and deal heavy damage.

Defensive items for Sion / Tahm Kench : If you can level up to 8 quickly and find a Tahm Kench, you can give it your remaining defensive items. Otherwise, you can always equip your Sion with your remaining items, preferably defensive items.
Utility objects : You want your Malzahar not to be bothered by your opponents at all costs, so don't hesitate to make utility items like the 
Zephyr or 
Shroud of Calming to slow opponents down.
Best Hextech Augments
Always try to choose a Hextech Augmentation based on what you need : generally at the beginning of the game it is appropriate to take a generic Augment since you do not yet know what you are going to play, and then you should try to reinforce the strengths of your composition.

Underdogs : Allows your units to regenerate 12% of their life points per second when you have fewer champions than your opponent, which will often be the case if you play 2 Colossi.
Shrug it off : Allows your Fighters to regenerate 2% of their max HP every second, very powerful for Cho'Gath.
Unstable mutation : Additional stats on your Mutants are always welcome.
Armor Plating : Allows your Cho'Gath and your Sion to be able to take more damage by becoming invulnerable when they fall to 60% and 30% of their health.
Golden ticket / Trade Sector / High Roller : Raises that help you roll are always welcome.
obviously a lot of Hextech Augmentations are interesting, including ones that give you Emblems or count as additional characters to boost your traits.
What to choose as an emblem (spatula object)?
Protector: This emblem is the most powerful you can have, as it gives a very important shield to your Cho'Gath which has a lot of HP.
Mutant (

) : This emblem allows you to play 5 mutants quickly. It can be worn by Sion, Soot Kench or even Zac.
Fighter (Bruiser): Allows you to have 4 Fighter quickly, allowing your Cho'Gath to take more damage.
You can use any more boilerplate emblem like

Malzahar : Generally, you will place your Malzahar in the back, fourth or third line so that it is not targeted directly. You will have to watch out for potential Blitzcrank grabs that could catch your main carry. So be sure to place another of your champions in a corner, next to Malzahar. If you face assassins, do not hesitate to advance your Malzahar a little in the third or even second line so that he is not worried.
Frontline : Generally place your Cho'Gath and your Sion in the front line so that they can absorb maximum damage and thus give your Malzahar time to cast its skill several times. In case you have to face assassins, you can back them both in order to protect your main carry.
The other characters : Place them around your Malzahar to protect it from anything that could harm it. If there are no assassins, you can place them in the first or second line to build up a more resistant frontline.
