Cheat sheet from Set 3 of TFT
Here's a cheat sheet of the new champions, classes, and origins. Some stats haven't been updated yet as they were changed during their time on the PBE, we'll make sure they match live play as soon as possible.
Set 3 Carousel Changes
In order to reduce economy in the early game, first carousel champions will still cost 1 gold and no longer 2 (except for the exception with the Galaxy of Champions at 4 Range). In addition, the possibilities of the Carousel have been enormously diversified:
- The Spatula can now spawn on the Carousel, but much less often than before.
- Full items may appear before the fifth carousel.
- Components can appear in the sixth carousel and beyond.
- Many new carousel arrangements have been added.
The carousel also had the right to a new visual.
There are also special scenarios that happen randomly: sometimes the first carousel will only have one component, for example.
Set 3 Economy Changes
Here are all the economy-related changes on Set 3:
- Passive income (per phase) reduced : 1-2-5-4-5-5... β 0-2-2-3-4-5-5...
- Win/Loss Streak Levels improved : 2-3 (1 PO), 4-6 (2 PO), 7+ (3 PO) β 2 (1 PO), 3 (2 PO), 4 (3 PO), 5+ (4 PO)
- Win streak golds are now granted during PvE rounds.
- It is henceforth unable to sell champions during Carousel.
- It is henceforth more common to get champions rather than gold from orbs.
- The gold and blue orbs containing champions can no longer fall on the first two rounds.
- Neeko's Helping Hand 35% less chance of being found in an orb.

Changes to damage taken by players
The damage suffered by a player during a defeat has been greatly modified: instead of depending mainly on the number of units alive and their value, leading in particular to devastating defeats at the end of the game where it is possible to lose 20 + HP at once, losses depend more on the phase of the game.
- Base damage per phase increased : 0/2/3/4/5/6/7 β 0/3/4/5/10/15/20
- Bonus damage per champion still alive is now +1 point of damage, regardless of the cost or star level of the champion.
As a result, players should still take high damage when losing in the late game, but this should be more balanced. Rather than having situations where a player can only lose 10 HP on a close loss but lose 25 all at once if they run into the strongest opponent, they should still lose around 15 or so when stage 5.
Riot has guaranteed that the pacing of the game should stay the same, with the start of the game a bit slower, and games possibly a bit longer.
Set 3 Battle Changes
First of all, Riot improved the AI ββof the champions so that they move in a more logical way, and that they avoid for example chasing after Aurelion Sol which is always moving as they could chase after Singed during the Set 2:
- Champions now move more smoothly between hexes.
- However, they are a bit slower.
- If a champion is within their target's attack range and the target moves out of range, the attacker will now chase their target for 1 hex before falling back on the nearest enemy.
Additionally, ranged champions will advance a little later than melee champions at the start of combat. This change should prevent them from stepping forward to attack a target and end up near melee instead of just waiting for it to step forward into range.
Here are the other combat changes:
- Mana gain per attack per star level: 8/10/12 β 10/10/10
- Hemorrhage (Morellonomicon, Red Buff, Rumble): healing reduced by 80% β healing reduced by 50%
- La magic power of each champion allowsnow adjust their skill other than damage, healing and armor. On Yasuo for example, it allows him to attack his opponent more times.
- Disarming no longer prevents spells from being cast. Only basic attacks.
Item Changes
In addition to the new objects which come to replace the options of Spatula and Hush, Gantelet givrant et Titanic Hydra who give way to chalice of grace, Shroud of Calming and Portal de Zz'rot, many items have been balanced.
