Patch 9.23 is here, and it brings many changes to TFT's meta. As ranked mode returns, it's important to fully understand the game to level up quickly. Watching streams can take time, fortunately these streamers offer you their resources. It was Shaunz who offered his tips for 9.23 on Twitter.
Sorry for the little delay!
Here's my help to get you started on the TFT rankeds tonight.
Start from one of these 4 bases to build your composition.
Don't forget that it's the beginning of the patch, there's still a lot to learn.
Good luck to everyone! ??@TFT #RT pic.twitter.com/pFqgpAvLu5
He presents 4 bases of compositions which can then lead to different variations. Also find our tier list of comps in 9.23 to help you with this patch.
Light composition on TFT
Slightly nerfed in 9.23, with Yorick taking a hit, but also Vayne and Nasus being less powerful at level 3, they still work but are more dependent on the Spatula. Indeed, the Summoners version with Zed Light is still as OP and can be used for top 1.
Compos Mage and Ocean on TFT
These compositions received a lot of buffs during the patch, in particular Brand who became the best carry in the game. Thanks to the significant mana generation of the oceans, it is possible to go in 2 major possible directions: 6 Mages, or 3 Mages and 3 Summoners (with 3 Hells) along the way. There is also a "hyper roll" version that uses Ivern and Neeko as a bonus.
Blade Master Compos on TFT
Blademaster compositions remain very viable in 9.23. The most interesting is the Assassin version, the latter being a good way to counter the many mages, but the Shadows version still works even if it suffered several nerfs in 9.23.
Comp Predator and Poison on TFT
Finally, the Predator and Poison compositions are still relevant, with Poison notably allowing the effectiveness of Mages to be slowed down by increasing their mana costs. As usual, it'll usually hyper roll Kog'Maw, Skarner, and Rek'Sai, and then branch off on Berzerkers and Glacials.
