Our articles on Tactical Combat TFT: Hextech compositions to test in 9.16 TFT patch 9.16 brings with it 4 new champions and a new origin: Hextech. Here are the best comps to test to include this new trait in your team.

Teamfight Tactics patch 9.16 adds 4 new champions (CamilleJayceVi et Jinx) as well as the new origin hextech which temporarily disables enemy objects. We've tested different comps that can incorporate this new trait so you can try them out from day one.

If there are compositions that use the 4 new champions, it is not these that we recommend you use because the Hextech bonus is already quite effective with 2 units.

Seraph's Embrace morellonomicon Ultra-fast cannon Lance de Shojin

Aurelion Sol will usually be the primary carry for that team, so items that allow him to generate mana or stay ranged are the most interesting. the morellonomicon is also a must in order to prevent comps from healing.

In case of build turned around Shyvana, TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Warmog, living armorTFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Pistolame Hextech et TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 thorny coat are preferred to allow her to 1v9 opposing teams as long as she does not get controlled.

Start of the game and other options:

The start of the game is very varied in this composition, ranging from a starter Wild (With Nidalee et Warwick) which branches off towards Shapeshifters et Brawlers, to an early game focused on Yordles with Wizards.

Given the number of synergies in this composition, it is difficult to change units without breaking it. The Wizards however, are not necessary, especially in the case of a Shyvana carry, they can then be replaced by guardians for example.

TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Gunslinger (2) : Gunslingers have a 50% chance to send an additional attack to 1 random opponent.

Similar to the previous one, this composition offers a lot of synergies and tends to focus on Gangplank in main carry, to take advantage of its significant zone damage. It is also possible to makeAatrox and Jinx the core of the team.

The explosion of the barrels of Gangplank has the particularity of activating both magic effects (from morellonomicon for example), and effects on impact (SilenceTFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Cursed Blade...). It is then very dangerous since it inflicts a lot of effects on all opponents hit. the frozen heart when is it his to put on Pyke, which can activate it on all opponents it encounters when it jumps at the start of the fight and when it ends.

It is also possible to build this composition around Jinx, which will be very effective with a TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Ultra-fast cannon, the TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Pistolame Hextech and TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Infinity blade for example.

Start of the game and other options:

This composition will usually begin as a composition Gunslinger/Pirate classic, with Graves, Tristana, Lucian, Pyke et Gangplank. Thereafter, it will be necessary to start adding the Wizards and Master of Blades to make the transition.

Pyke isn't actually needed, it's only there for the bonus Pirate. If replaced, it is also possible to change the combination of Wizards which is extremely flexible, although Morgana remains very interesting as a frontline. It is also possible to pick up other Blade Masters at the end of the game, as Draven ou Yasuo.

TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Imperial (4) : Damage doubled for all Imperials.

TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Sorcerer (3) : All allies have +40% Magic Damage.

TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Shapeshifter (3) : Shapeshifters gain 60% of their maximum HP when transforming.

This composition is an "Imperial classic" centered around Draven. Well known for his carry abilities, he is protected by the controls of the Shapeshifters and can also be assisted by Swain who will act as a secondary carry with a few items.

Ultra-fast cannon Thirst for blood Ouragan de Runaan Guardian angel

Objects are classic on Draven,  Ultra-fast cannon and Thirst for blood are essential to allow him to DPS quietly without taking risks. L'Ouragan de Runaan is also excellent on it since his buff in 9.15b, which allows Draven to deal area damage and have magic resistance.

To Swain, objects like theGuardian angel (which allows him to regenerate while he comes back to life), the TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 morellonomicon and  TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Pistolame Hextech are very interesting in order to make it resistant while doing damage.

Start of the game and other options:

Since this composition is based on Draven, it will not be rare to start it like all the others of this type: with knights. Thereafter, the difficulty will be to gradually incorporate different elements, such as Blade Masters and Shapeshifters, before looking for Swain et Katarina at the end of the game.

The 4 Imperials are not really needed in this composition, and can potentially be replaced by others knights or the guardians. The same goes for Shapeshifters, which work well but can be swapped with others if you can't find Gnar et Swain.

TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Pirate (3) : You earn up to 4 additional gold coins at the end of each fight against another player.

TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Gunslinger (6) : Gunslingers have a 50% chance to send an additional attack to 3 random opponents within range.

Perhaps the most obvious composition for playing Hextechs, this version of gunslingers can play around a lot of targets in carry, ranging from Jinx à Tristana, Via Yasuo ou Miss Fortune. It can also be oriented towards all kinds of objects and is very easy to build.

red buff Cursed Blade Silence sword breaker

Since the gunslingers can apply on-hit effects to all of their attacks, any items that cripple the enemy team are good to take. They will usually be placed on Tristana at the start of the game since it has the most range, even if it means selling it to put them on Jinx later.

Since Jinx is also an excellent physical carry, it can also be interesting to simply equip him with DPS items like Draven like the TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Ultra-fast cannon and TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Infinity blade. At last, Miss Fortune can also be effective with TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 Seraph's Embrace and TFT: The Hextech components to test in 9.16 morellonomicon in order to ulti very quickly.

Start of the game and other options:

This is the composition of this list the most known and easy to build at the start of the game, since it is based on a base of Gunslingers/Pirates with the cheapest units in the list and Pyke as a third pirate. The difficulty at the end of the game will be to find Jinx et Miss Fortune in order to complete it.

Si Yasuo is the best choice as third Master of Blades, it is not mandatory at all and can be replaced by any of the other 4 (Aatrox, Draven, Fiora, Shen). It is also possible to get rid of two gunslingers for the benefit of guardians for example at the end of the game.

All these compositions are not necessarily the best in the patch, but they will still be effective to take advantage of the bonus hextech which is particularly strong. If you have any suggestions or questions, we'll be happy to answer them in the comments.
