Since the ranked mode should arrive in the coming days on Teamfight Tactics, it is important to know the best compositions of the moment in order to start with a head start. If it is possible to win with any team, provided the stars are correctly aligned, there are still 3 compositions that stand out at the moment and are globally above the others, in terms of efficiency but also easy to find.
The Ranger/Ice/Knight composition
Vayne / Mordekaiser / Varus / Ashe / Kindred / Sejuani
Prowler (4) : Rangers have a 65% chance to double their attack speed every 3 seconds.
Glacial (2) : Glacials have a 20% chance to stun for 2 seconds when attacking.
Knight (2) : Knights block 20 damage from attacks.
Ghost (2) : Curses a random opponent at the start of combat, putting them at 100 HP.
The interest of this composition is that it is constructed in a fairly linear fashion: it is very common to have Vayne at the beginning of the game and to play it with 2 Knights, then it suffices to find Varus for the bonus Prowler and the other pieces are added organically. It works very well in the late game, but can sometimes be vulnerable to enemy burst (Assassins or Sorcerers).
Preferred items:
โ They usually go on Ashe : Lance de Shojin ( + ), Ultra-fast cannon ( + ) and or Guinsoo's Raging Blade ( + ) to chain stuns with his ultimate.
โ They can be put on Vayne if she is level 3 : the Guinsoo and the ultra-rapid Canon but also theTitanic Hydra ( + ) Et the Bloodlust ( + ).
โ A Herald of Zeke ( + ) is also very effective on Kindred if she is in the middle of your team, or mana items (frozen heart ( + ), Seraph's Embrace ( + )) on Sejuani so that she uses her ultimate faster.
Endgame units:
โ Brew et Leona for the Guardian bonus, in which case you'll also want a fourth Glacial (or one Frozen Mallet ( + )) for even more frequent stuns.
โ Thread et Kayle for a bonus Noble and more protection for your Rangers.
โ Simply units that are strong without synergy like Cho'Gath, Yasuo ou Gnar.
The Shapeshifter/Wild/Sorcerer composition
Warwick / Nidalee / Kassadin / Ahri / Shyvana / Gnar / Aurelion Sol
Wild (4) : All units gain 7% Attack Speed โโwith each attack, this bonus stacks up to 5 times (for 35%).
Shapeshifter (3) : All Shapeshifters gain 100% of their maximum bonus HP when transforming.
Sorcerer (3): +35% Magic Damage
Dragon (2) : All Dragons are immune to magic damage.
One of the best late game compositions, especially against nobles and Yordles who have a lot of physical damage resistance, the Shifter/Sorcerer team works well thanks to Warwick et Nidalee who are solid in the early game. The real difficulty in making this build work is finding Gnar et Aurelion Sol which are the centerpieces. Like the Rangers, she can be endangered by some Assassins.
Preferred items:
โ Aurelion Sol is the main carry of the team and must be equipped to be able to use his ultimate quickly and regularly: Lance de Shojin ( + ), Guinsoo's Raging Blade ( + ) and or Ultra-fast cannon ( + ).
โ If you are in difficulty at the start of the game or your Nidalee is level 3, you can give him DPS items like theTitanic Hydra ( + ) and the Guinsoo.
โ The ghost dancer ( + ) can make Shyvana very difficult to kill, since it then becomes immune to magic damage and critical hits. It is also interesting on Gnar to ensure he survives long enough to transform.
Endgame units:
โ As long as Aurelion Sol survives, this composition is very strong, which is why tanks with good controls are interesting like Cho'Gath et Sejuani.
โ Since the Metamorph bonus is very interesting, Swain can be extremely dangerous with this composition.
โ Incidentally, Kassadin can be replaced by Lulu for more protection for your backline.
The Imperial/Savage composition
Nidalee / Warwick / Darius / Ahri / Gnar / Draven
Wild (4) : All units gain 7% Attack Speed โโwith each attack, this bonus stacks up to 5 times (for 35%).
Imperial (2) : 1 random Imperial inflicts 2 times more damage.
This composition revolves around a champion: Draven. It is therefore one of the most flexible, since most other units are interchangeable (especially Darius for another Imperial and Ahri for Rengar) as long as you keep 4 Savages and 2 Imperials. Overall, it's a comp you can always pivot to when you have some savages and you find a Draven in the early game, and that's pretty balanced.
Preferred items:
โ As said above, Draven is your team's main carry and should be equipped with damage items: Infinity blade ( + ), Ultra-fast cannon ( + ) or Guinsoo's Raging Blade ( + )
โ The Bloodlust ( + ), dragon claw ( + ) or ghost dancer ( + ) are good defensive options to ensure he doesn't die instantly.
โ If you get your hands on Swain in the late game, it's also a good idea to give him items like ghost dancer et dragon claw to make it an alternative carry.
Endgame units:
โ If you manage to get the 4 Imperials, this composition becomes very destructive, so look for Katarina et Swain, the latter also giving the bonus of Shapeshifter.
โ If you have Katarina in Imperial instead of Darius and Rengar instead of Ahri, you can take a 3rd Assassin (Akali for example).
โ As for the other compositions, taking a strong unit individually is never a mistake: Cho'Gath, Sejuani, or Yasuo. With the latter, you can fetch un 3e Master of Blades to boost Draven (Aatrox, Shen, Gangplank or a Deposed king blade ( + )).
We hope this information will help you, do not hesitate to ask your questions or suggest new topics if you are interested in compositions in the comments.
