PUBG: Codename: Savage changed for its return to the experimental test servers!

As you know, the Codename: Savage map is returning to the experimental test servers for 48 hours. On this occasion, changes and improvements have been made to the map and to the game.

Red zone

  • The size and duration of the red zone have been decreased. 

blue zone

  • A new feature allows the blue zone to calculate and adjust its waiting time based on the number of players still alive.

Spawn Balancing

  • Grenades will now spawn more often.
  • The most powerful scope obtainable from a Care Crate is now the 8x.
  • The total number of boats spawning has been decreased, but they will spawn more predictably near towns along the sea. 

Map Changes 

Three new areas have been added: 



Banyan Grove, in the center of the islandPUBG: Codename: Savage changed for its return to the experimental test servers!Abandoned Quarry, in the center of the islandPUBG: Codename: Savage changed for its return to the experimental test servers!Dock, southeast of the islandPUBG: Codename: Savage changed for its return to the experimental test servers!

  • Improved placement of objects on bridges for easier movement.
  • Improved the surrounding terrain to make climbing to the terrain from the river easier.
  • Some hard-to-see doors are now more visible (less dark). 

Weather 

  • Dynamic weather now changes in real time during each game (was only changing once per game).
  • Wet floors now appear less shiny.

Shipping is 

  • Improved the issue of hearing footsteps too late or coming from incorrect directions.
  • Slightly increased rain sounds.
  • A seaside ambient sound effect has been implemented.
  • An indoor swamp ambient sound effect has been implemented.

User interface 

  • Adjusted minimap marking to match smaller map size.

Effects 

  • We fixed an issue that caused the blood effect to obstruct the player's view after getting hit in FPP mode.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed an issue where boats were not consuming fuel while piloting them.
  • We fixed an issue that caused Savage's world map and minimap to display blurry.
  • We fixed an issue that could prevent players from moving immediately after using the item quantity menu.
  • We fixed an issue where the minimap was displayed blank when looking at the Death Cam.
  • Fixed an issue where players would sometimes not take damage when exiting a moving vehicle.
  • Observe killer mode now works correctly, even when the killer dies quickly after killing the observer player.
  • The camera should now work correctly after players are knocked down while taking fall damage.
  • We fixed an issue where the blood effect was not displaying correctly when shooting other players. 

Known issues (under investigation)

  • Sometimes in FPP, if the player jumped to pass an obstacle at the start of the game, the player would not board the plane and fly directly to the plane's final destination.
  • Sometimes other players appeared as zombies.
