PUBG: Test servers are back on Xbox for 3 days!
The Bluehole studio team in charge of the development of PUBG on Xbox has just announced the return of the test servers, for a limited time, in order to test the rotation of maps between Miramar and Erangel before integrating it on the live servers. . The developers therefore published a press release this Saturday morning in which they announced the return of the test servers for three days, but with the possibility of extending it further. This test includes both Miramar and Erangel maps so developers can experiment with the matchmaking system before integrating the desert map on the live servers. Which means, in other words, that players can therefore, each time they start a game, land on one of these two cards, randomly selected by the game. The developers add that map selection will be implemented soon on Xbox, but it will take a little longer. Note that the first 150 players to report a bug on the test servers will receive rewards.

Test Server Schedule

Day 1
  • Saturday May 5, 14 p.m., to Sunday May 6, 8 a.m.
Day 2
  • Sunday May 6, 17 p.m., to Monday May 7, 8 a.m.
Day 3
  • Monday, May 7, 17 p.m., to Tuesday, May 8, 8 a.m.
Players wishing to venture on the test servers will only be able to play in TPP in solo and duo, but in TPP and FPP for squads. The developers explain that if the FPP is only available in squads, it is because they are afraid of dividing the matchmaking too much. However, if there are enough players, they will allow solo and duo FPP.

Menu settings change

  • Game settings are now grouped by category.
  • Added colorblind option.
  • Crosshair settings have been added.

  • Added option to adjust controller vibration.

  • Two new menus have been added: Personalization and Store.
    • To get a box, go to Store then Cashier.
    • To open a box you received, go to "My Items" located in the Store.
    • On test servers, the number of crates that can be purchased per week has been increased to 100.
  • After launching the game, only one loading screen appears instead of several.

A few more changes

  • Emotes have been added. For them to appear, press LB and RB at the same time, and to choose them, use the right analog stick and press R.
  • We've added some on-screen contextual pop-ups that explain button functions.
  • Added new grenade effects and animations.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where sometimes players would get stuck in a leaning position.
  • Fixed an issue that caused slowdowns while sprinting.
  • Player can no longer see through walls when lying down near houses with stone steps in Miramar.
  • In spectator mode, water sometimes slows down inappropriately after changing perspective.
  • When preparing to throw grenades, the projection visualization no longer inappropriately penetrates through objects.

Known problem

After long game sessions (three hours or more) on the standard Xbox One and Xbox One S, the game could sometimes crash. This is a problem that has been going on for a while, and we hope to fix it soon. In the meantime, there is a simple solution to work around this problem. Just restart the app every two hours if you plan to play longer.
