There are only eleven weeks left between now and the end of 2017. Eleven weeks which should allow the team in charge of the development of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS to deliver the 1.0 PC and Xbox Game Preview versions, at least normally. Many of you are already familiar with the many new contents that will be available through the 1.0 PC version. The developers are currently using an internal build to evolve and test the jumping and climbing system, desert map, new vehicles as well as 3D replay. The team currently working on optimizing and stabilizing these new features and mechanics. She will also be able to share a few more details on the roadmap, once the development has progressed.
On the way to launch
PUBG Development Team focuses primarily on 1.0 PC and Xbox Game Preview builds. On PC, they are working to stabilize the launch build and they currently have no plans to deploy any updates to public servers other than the one arriving this week. However, the jumping and climbing features, which will have a big impact on the game, will have to be tested for at least a month. Thanks to the test servers, the developers want to carry out a whole battery of experiments in three stages, allowing in particular to create a solid and stable base for the official launch of the game.- Phase 1: Testing performed on jumping and climbing functionality.
- Phase 2: More testing done on jumping and climbing, as well as new content and features.
- Phase 3: All new content and features, including the desert map.
FPP Leaderboard and Servers Update
As we told you about at the beginning of last week, the developers took the liberty of taking a few days to work on optimizing the ranking and the leaderboards to ensure their stable operation. Unfortunately, it seems to be taking longer than expected since the return of the season which was scheduled for the date of October 17 is finally postponed to October 20.Unsurprisingly, the Squad FPP mode was acclaimed by PUBG fans. Therefore, PUBG team decided to bring this mode to servers in South America, Southeast Asia and Oceania, while adding new servers for Korea and Japan regions. .
